The ROVR Identification key fob is a compact device, similar in size to a typical vehicle door/
alarm control key fob, that allows multiple drivers to be associated with a single ROVR TC
equipped vehicle. A vehicle driver can check in or check out with the touch of a button. Visual
indicators on the fob ensure accurate driver to vehicle association. Each fob has a unique
identification number that is communicated to the ROVR TC device during the association
process. The fob is assigned to a driver, and the information associated with each driver is
available for reporting and viewing in ROVR Central.
Operation
The driver checks in with the ROVR TC device by pressing and holding the left button on the
fob. The yellow light emitting diode (LED) illuminates briefly. When the ROVR TC device
detects a check-in from the fob, it sends a message to the ROVR Central server indicating that
the owner of the fob is now the active driver of the vehicle and the green LED light illuminates
for a few seconds.
The driver checks out by pressing and holding the right button on the fob. The yellow LED
illuminates briefly. When the ROVR TC device detects a check out from the fob, it sends a
message to the ROVR Central server to indicate that the owner of the fob is no longer the
active driver of the vehicle and the green LED illuminates.
The ROVR key fob is an ideal solution for vehicle fleet applications and for households with
multiple drivers using the same vehicle.
