These owner manual are given as
a guide to good practice in the
operation and periodic maintenance
by the users of Trane Hi-wall mini-split
systems.
They do not contain the full service
procedures necessary for the
continued successful operation of this
equipment. The services of a qualified
service technician should be
employed, through the medium of a
maintenance contract with a reputable
service company.
Read them completely before doing
anything with your air conditioning
system.
Warranty
Warranty is based on the general
terms and conditions of the
constructor. The warranty is void if the
equipment is modified or repaired
without the written approval of the
constructor, if the operating limits are
exceeded, or if the control system or
the electrical wiring is modified.
Damage due to misuse, lack of
maintenance, or failure to comply with
the manufacturer’s instructions, is not
covered by the warranty obligation.
If the user does not conform to the
rules described in the manual, it may
entail cancellation of warranty and
liabilities by the Trane company.
Reception
On arrival, inspect the unit before
signing the delivery note. Specify any
damage on the delivery note, and
send a registered letter of protest to
the last carrier of the goods within 72
hours of delivery . Notify the local sales
office at the same time. The unit
should be totally inspected within
7 days of delivery. If any concealed
damage is discovered, send a
registered letter of protest to the
carrier within 7 days of delivery and
notify the local sales office. Units are
shipped with the refrigerant operating
or holding charge and should be
examined with an eletronic leak
detector to determine the hermetic
integrity of the unit. The refrigerant
charge is not included in the standard
Warranty Cover.
About this manual
Cautions appear at appropriate
places in this instruction manual.Your
personal safety and the proper
operation of this machine require that
you follow them carefully. The
constructor assumes no liability for
installations or servicing performed by
unqualified personnel.
All phases of the installation of these
air conditioning systems must conform
to all provinced/state and local codes.
Please keep this owner manual
carefully for consultation.
About the unit
These units are assembled, pressure
tested, dehydrated, charged and run
tested before shipment.
Refrigerant
The refrigerant provided by the
constructor meets all the
requirements of our units. When using
recycled or reprocessed refrigerant,
it is advisable to ensure its quality is
equivalent to that of a new refrigerant.
For this, it is necessary to have a
precise analysis made by a
specialized laboratory. If this condition
is not respected, the constructor
warranty could be cancelled.
Important
These instructions do not cover all
variations in system, nor do they
provide for every possible
contingency to be met.
Should further information be desired
or should particular problems arise
which are not covered sufficiently for
the purchaser’s purposes, the matter
should be referred to the Trane sales
office in your region.

The air cleaners include a electrostatic
air cleaner (white-green color)and a
LTC air cleaner (green color).The
electrostatic cleaner (consist of a lay
electrostatic fibre and a lay antibacterium fibre) can eliminate dust and
kill the bacterium, LTC air cleaner can
remove smell, to improve the inside air
quality.
Electrostatic cleaner need to be replaced every 6 months.
LTC air cleaner is able to regenerate
automatically in a long time, and can
be recycle after being cleaned with
water and dry, replaced once every 3
years in common place.
The alternate air cleaners can be
bought in the service agency of
Trane.
Preparation before the season of use
1. Be sure that nothing obstructs the
air outlet and intake vents.
2. Check that whether ground wire is
properly connected or not.
3. Replace filters if necessary.
4. Check if the batteries of the remote
control has been replaced.
5. Check if the mounting bracket of
outdoor unit is damaged, contact
service agency if there is any.
Never use water above 45oc to wash
the filters, or it could cause
deformation or discolourtion.
Never dry the filters near the fire, or
it could cause fire or deformation.
3. Reinsert the filters
Replace the air cleaners back to air
filter frames. Reinsert the filters with
side marked “FRONT” facing forward.
Replace the front cover.

Replace air cleaners to the back of the
air filters.
CAUTION!
Be careful not to injure yourself on
the fins.
3. Reinsert the air filters back to unit.
(Refer to the third step of “cleaning
the air filters”)
Maintain after the season of use
1. Clean filters and other parts.

Sound of water flow
can be heard during

Mist is emitted during
cooling operation.
Creaking noise can be
heard when start or

Air conditioner
does not operate at all.
Troubleshooting
Once the air conditioner is stopped,
it will not operate in approximately
3 minutes to protect itself.
This is caused by the odors in the
room which have been breathed
into the air conditioner.
This is caused by the refrigerant
flowing inside the unit.
Because room air is cooled down
rapidly by the cold air flow and it
looks like the fog.
This is caused by the deformation
of plastic due to the temperature
change.
Has the power been shut down?
Is the wiring loose?
Is the leakage protection switch
activated?
Is voltage higher than 244V or lower
than 206V?
Is TIMER ON in operation?
