FUNCTIONS AND USE
In order to locate your pet with Tractive® GPS 2, a PC with internet connection or a
smartphone (iPhone, Android, Windows Phone) is required. The Tractive® GPS app can
be downloaded from the Apple App Store for iOS, the Google Play Store for Android and
the Microsoft Store for Windows Phone.
The Tractive® GPS 2 device can only be used after successful activation on your
smartphone or through a web browser.
GETTING STARTED
1. CHARGING THE DEVICE
We recommend to fully charge the Tractive® GPS 2 device before its rst use.
• Connect Tractive® GPS 2 to a power outlet by plugging the included USB charger into
a universal USB power adapter or
• connect to a high-power USB 2.0 port using the included USB charger.
The LED on the Tractive® GPS 2 device will turn red while the device is charging. Once
the device is fully charged, the red light will disappear.
Some USB ports and accessories do not provide enough power and Tractive® GPS 2
will charge more slowly.

2. DEVICE ACTIVATION
Activation of the Tractive® GPS 2 device requires the device to be turned on. Keep
the power button on the device pressed for around 3 seconds. Once you hear 2 short
ascending beeps and see a green light, the device has succesfully been turned on.
Holding the button again for 3 seconds will turn off the device. In order to get GPS
reception, ensure that the device is located outside of buildings and under clear sky.

website, which will guide you through the step by step activation of your Tractive®
GPS 2 device: tractive.com/activate
3. DOWNLOAD TRACTIVE® GPS APP
The Tractive® GPS app will guide you through the rst steps of adding a pet and
assigning a new Tractive® GPS 2 device to the pet.
Note: After turning on the Tractive® GPS 2 device for the rst time or after a period
of inactivity, it can take a few minutes until the device is ready to use. To speed up
this process, turn on the device and make sure it’s placed under clear sky away from
buildings, trees and electrical towers.
4. ATTACHING TRACTIVE® GPS 2 TO A PET COLLAR
Clip the Tractive® GPS 2 device on the collar of your pet by using the included clips. The
clips are made for different collars: use the one with an S at the back for collars with a
thickness up to 3 mm and the one with an L at the back for collars with a thickness up
to 5 mm.
LED WARNINGS
The LED located on the top of the Tractive® GPS 2 device indicates the current status
of the device.
Battery is low (red LED ashes 3 times every 15 seconds)
The battery level of the Tractive® GPS 2 device is low. Fully recharge the device
to get the best tracking results.
LIVE Tracking (white LED ashes)
During a LIVE tracking activity the LED ashes in white. This allows you to locate
your pet easier at night time.
DEVICE STATUS
By pressing the on/off button once, the cellular network and GPS status of the device will
be shown using 2 consecutive ashes.

In case of an error, please bring the device into an area with Tractive® coverage. In
order to get GPS reception, ensure that the device is fully charged and located outside
of buildings and under clear sky. It might take a few minutes for the device to get a GPS
connection after it has been turned on.

Very strong magnetic elds (e.g. transformers) should always be avoided as this may result in variations in
the transmission. Failure to follow these instructions may lead to malfunctions or damage to your Tractive®
GPS 2 device.

animals and objects. It’s the sole responsibility of the owner and user to abide by the law and rules in
the area the Tractive® GPS 2 device is used.

Important: Although the Tractive® GPS 2 device is small in size, it might be too large or heavy for small
or injured pets.
If you are unsure whether you can use this device with your pet, we highly recommend consulting a pet
doctor or veterinarian.
BATTERY OPERATION
Your transmitter is operated by a rechargeable lithium polymer battery. Below you will nd some advice on
the use of rechargeable batteries:
• The battery of the Tractive
• Batteries may not be disassembled, thrown into re or short-circuited.
• Never expose the Tractive

FUNKTIONEN UND EINSATZMÖGLICHKEIT
Um die Positionsortung Ihres Haus- oder Nutztiers zu ermöglichen, benötigen Sie einen
PC mit Internetzugang und/oder ein Smartphone (iPhone, Android, Windows Phone)
und die zugehörige Tractive® GPS App, erhältlich im Apple App Store, Google Play Store
bzw. Microsoft Store.
Das Tractive® GPS 2 Ortungsgerät kann erst nach erfolgreicher Aktivierung am
Smartphone oder in einem Browser verwendet werden.
INBETRIEBNAHME
1. AUFLADEN DES GERÄTS
Wir empfehlen, das Gerät vor der ersten Aktivierung vollständig aufzuladen.
• Laden Sie Tractive GPS® 2 an einer Steckdose, indem Sie das mitgelieferte USB
Ladegerät mit einem universellen USB Netzteil verbinden, oder
• schließen Sie das mitgelieferte USB Ladegerät an einen Hi-Speed USB 2.0 Port an.
Während des Ladevorgangs leuchtet das rote Licht auf. Sobald das Gerät vollständig
geladen ist, erlischt das LED am Gerät.
Beim Laden über einen USB Port kann sich die Ladezeit signikant verlängern.

2. AKTIVIEREN DES GERÄTS
Fügen Sie den Link: www.tractive.com/activate in die Adressleiste Ihres Browsers
ein, um zur Tractive® Homepage zu gelangen, welche Sie Schritt für Schritt bei der
Aktivierung des Gerätes begleitet.
Um das Gerät zu aktivieren, muss das Gerät durch langes Drücken (ca. 3 sek)
des Schalters eingeschaltet werden. Dies wird durch das Ertönen von 2 kurzen
aufsteigenden Tönen und grünem Licht bestätigt. Durch erneutes langes Drücken kann
das Gerät wieder ausgeschaltet werden. Um den GPS Empfang zu verbessern, stellen
Sie sicher, dass sich das Tractive® GPS 2 außerhalb von Gebäuden und unter freiem
Himmel bendet.
3. EINSTELLUNG IN DER TRACTIVE® GPS APP
Die Tractive® GPS App wird Sie Schritt für Schritt beim Anlegen eines Tieres und
Hinzufügen des Tractive GPS® 2 Ortungsgeräts unterstützen.
Hinweis: Bei der ersten Verwendung des Tractive GPS® Ortungsgeräts, bzw. nach
längerer Inaktivität kann die erste Positionsortung einige Minuten dauern. Um
diesen Vorgang zu beschleunigen, schalten Sie das Gerät ein und positionieren Sie
es unter freiem Himmel, möglichst weg von Gebäuden und Stromleitungen.
4. ANBRINGEN DES TRACTIVE GPS® ORTUNGSGERÄTS AM TIER
Klippen Sie den Tractive GPS® 2 Tracker mithilfe der mitgelieferten Klammern an
das Halsband Ihres Tieres. Verwenden Sie die mit S gekennzeichnete Klammer für
Halsbänder bis 3 mm Stärke und die mit L gekennzeichnete Klammer für Halsbänder
von 3 mm bis 5 mm Stärke.
LED HINWEISE
Die auf der Oberseite des Tractive® GPS 2 Ortungsgeräts angebrachte LED leuchtet in
Abhängigkeit des aktuellen Zustandes in verschiedenen Farben.
Batterie nahezu leer (Rote LED blinkt 3x alle 15 Sekunden)
Der Batteriestatus des Tractive® GPS 2 Ortungsgerätes ist niedrig. Laden Sie das
Gerät auf, um bestmögliche Ortungsergebnisse zu erhalten.
LIVE Tracking (Weiße LED blinkt)
Während der LIVE Trackingaktivität leuchtet die weiße LED in kurzen Abständen.
Dies hilft beim Suchen des Haustiers im Dunkeln.
GERÄTESTATUS
Durch einen kurzen Druck auf den Ein/Ausschaltknopf kann der Gerätestatus angezeigt
werden. Das System signalisiert den Status in zwei hintereinander folgenden LEDs:
Netzwerk vorhanden - GPS vorhanden
kein Netzwerk vorhanden - GPS vorhanden
Netzwerk vorhanden - kein GPS vorhanden
kein Netzwerk vorhanden - kein GPS vorhanden
Sollte ein Fehlerfall auftreten, bringen Sie das Gerät in eine Zone mit Netzabdeckung
von Tractive®. Um den GPS Empfang zu verbessern, stellen Sie sicher, dass sich das
Tractive® GPS 2 in geladenem Zustand außerhalb von Gebäuden und unter freiem
Himmel bendet.

Batterien sind Sondermüll. Zur sachgerechten Batterieentsorgung stehen im
batterievertreibenden Handel sowie den kommunalen Sammelstellen entsprechende
Behälter bereit. Wenn Sie sich von Ihrem Tractive® GPS 2 Ortungsgerät trennen
möchten, entsorgen Sie dieses zu den aktuellen Bestimmungen. Auskunft erteilt die
kommunale Stelle.

FONCTIONS ET UTILISATION
An de permettre la localisation de votre animal domestique ou des animaux d’élevage,
vous avez besoin d’un ordinateur avec accès à l’Internet et/ou d’un Smartphone (iPhone,
Android, Windows Phone) ainsi que l’application Tractive® GPS correspondante,
disponible dans l’Apple App Store, sur Google Play Store ou sur Microsoft Store.
Le dispositif Tractive® GPS 2 peut être utilisé seulement après son réussie activation
depuis smartphone ou navigateur.
MISE EN SERVICE
1. CHARGER L’APPAREIL
Nous recommandons de charger l’appareil complètement avant la première utilisation.
• Connecter le dispositif Tractive® GPS 2 à une prise électrique en branchant le chargeur
USB inclus à un adaptateur d’alimentation USB Universal ou
• connecter le chargeur USB inclus à une porte USB 2.0 à haute puissance.
Pour charger le dispositif, attachez la pince du câble de charge à l’appareil, comme
indiqué dans l’illustration. Pendant le chargement, vous verrez des clignotements
rouges. Une fois que l’appareil est chargé, la lumière rouge s’éteindra. Certains portes
USB et certains accessoires ne sont pas équipés d’une puissance assez sufsante et le
dispositif Tractive® GPS 2 pourrais nécessiter plus de temps pour se charger.

2. ACTIVER LE DISPOSITIF
Pour activer le dispositif, il faut que l’appareil soit allumé. Pour se faire, appuyez sur
le bouton d’alimentation pendant environ 3 secondes. Quand vous entendez 2 bips
courts et voyez une lumière verte, l’appareil est alors en marche. Pour avoir une bonne
réception GPS, veuillez vous assurer que l’appareil est à l’extérieur par temps clair.
Insérez le lien suivant dans la barre d’adresse de votre navigateur et rendez vous sur le
site Internet de Tractive, qui vous conduira étape par étape pour activer votre Tractive®
GPS 2. www.tractive.com/activate
3. RÉGLAGES DE L’APPLICATION TRACTIVE® GPS
L’application vous guidera pendant les premières étapes pour ajouter un animal et
attribuer un nouveau dispositif Tractive® GPS 2 à un animal.
Note: Après avoir allumé le dispositif Tractive® GPS 2 pour la première fois ou
après un certain temps d’inactivité, l’activation de l’appareil peut prendre quelques
minutes jusqu’à ce qu’il soit prêt à être utilisé. Pour accélérer ce processus, allumez
l’appareil et assurez-vous qu’il est placé dans un endroit dégagé, loin de bâtiments,
d’arbres et de pylônes électriques.

4. ATTACHER LE DISPOSITIF TRACTIVE
DOMESTIQUES
Fixez Tractive® GPS 2 sur le collier de votre animal en utilisant les clips inclus. Les
clips sont faits pour diverses colliers: utiliser l’un avec un S à l’arrière pour les colliers
avec une épaisseur de 3 mm et celui avec un L à l’arrière pour les colliers avec une
épaisseur jusqu’à 5 mm.

La LED située sur le dessus du Tractive® GPS 2 indique le statut actuel de l’appareil.
La batterie est faible (la LED rouge s’allume 3 fois toutes les 15 secondes)
Le niveau de la batterie de l’appareil Tractive® GPS 2 est faible. Rechargez
l’appareil pour avoir de meilleurs résultats pour le suivi.
LIVE Tracking (lumière blanche qui clignote)
Pendant le LIVE Tracking, la LED s’allume en blanc. Cela vous permet de localiser
votre animal facilement durant la nuit.

En pressant le bouton on/off, le statut du réseau mobile et du GPS sera afché grâce à
2 ashs consécutifs.

En cas d’erreur, veuillez placer l’appareil dans une zone couverte par Tractive®. Pour

maximum et qu’il est à l’extérieur par temps clair. Cela peut prendre quelques minutes à
l’appareil pour avoir une connexion GPS après l’avoir éteint.

DISPOSITION
Les batteries usagées sont considérées comme des déchets dangereux. Si vous
souhaitez jeter la batterie, veuillez vous rendre chez un revendeur de piles ou dans
des endroits de collecte responsable qui mettent à votre disposition des collecteurs
réservés à cet effet. Si vous souhaitez vous défaire de votre appareil, éliminez-le
selon la réglementation actuelle. Vous pouvez obtenir des renseignements relatifs au
recyclage des batteries auprès des municipalités.

FUNCIONES Y USO
Para localizar a su mascota o animal de granja con Tractive® GPS 2, se require de una
PC con conexión a internet o un smartphone (iPhone, Android, Windows Phone). Las
aplicaciones (apps) Tractive® GPS 2 se pueden descargar de la App Store para iOS, de

El dispositivo Tractive® GPS 2 solo puede ser utilizado después de haberlo activado
correctamente en tu teléfono o en tu navegador web.
PRIMEROS PASOS
1. CARGANDO EL DISPOSITIVO

GPS app
Se recomienda cargar completamente la bateria del dispositivo Tractive® GPS 2 antes
de su primer uso.
• Conectar GPS 2 a una toma eléctrica conectando el cargador USB al adaptador de
corriente USB Universal o
• conectar el cargador USB incluido para un puerto USB 2.0 de alta potencia.
El led en el dispositivo Tractive® GPS 2 encenderá rojo cuando el dispositivo se esté
cargando. Una vez que el dispositivo esté totalmente cargado la luz roja desaparecerá.
Algunos puertos USB y algunos accesorios no están equipados con una potencia
suciente y Tractive® GPS 2 puede requerir más tiempo para cargarse.

2. ACTIVACIÓN DEL DISPOSITIVO
La activación del dispositivo Tractive® GPS 2 requiere que este se encienda. Mantenga
el botón de encender en el dipositivo apretado durante 3 segundos. Una vez que
escuche dos cortos pitidos ascendientes y vea una luz verde, el dispositivo se ha
encendido exitosamente. Presionar el botón de nuevo por tres segundos apagará el
dispositivo. Para tener recepción GPS, asegúrese de que el dispositivo se localiza fuera
de edicios y en cielo abierto.
Pegue el siguiente enlace en la barra de direcciones de su navegador para accesar
a la página web de Tractive®, que lo guiará paso a paso durante la activación de su
dispositivo Tractive® GPS 2: tractive.com/activate
3. DOWNLOAD TRACTIVE® GPS APP
La app Tractive® GPS lo guiará para agregar a una mascota y para asignar un nuevo
dispositivo Tractive® GPS 2 a la mascota.
Nota: Después de encender el dispositivo Tractive® GPS 2 la primera vez o después
de algún tiempo de inactividad, puede tomarle al dispositivo unos minutos el estar
listo para usarse. Para acelerar este proceso, encienda el dispositivo y asegúrese
de que esté ubicado al aire libre lejos de edi cios, árboles y torres eléctricas.
4. SUJETAR EL DISPOSITIVO TRACTIVE® GPS 2 AL COLLAR DE SU MASCOTA
Conecte Tractive® GPS 2 al collar de tu mascota con los clips incluidos. Los clips están
hechos para diferentes cuellos: utilizar el clip con la S en la parte posterior para cuellos
con espesor mínimo de 3 mm y el clip con la L en la parte posterior para cuellos con un
espesor de hasta 5 mm.
SEÑALES DEL LED
El LED localizado en la parte superior del dispositivo Tractive® GPS 2 indica el estado
actual del dispositivo.
Batería baja (el LED rojo parpadea 3 veces cada 15 segundos)
La batería del dispositivo Tractive® GPS 2 está baja. Cargue completamente el
dispositivo para obtener los mejores resultados de rastreo.
Seguimiento en TIEMPO REAL (el LED blanco parpadea)
Durante una actividad con seguimiento en TIEMPO REAL el LED parpadea en
blanco. Esto le permite localizar más fácilmente a su mascota en la noche.
ESTATUS DEL DISPOSITIVO
Al presionar el botón de encendido/apagado una vez, el estatus GSM y GPS del
dispositivo se mostrará parpadeando dos veces consecutivamente.

En caso de un error, por favor lleve el dispositivo a un área con cobertura Tractive®. Para
tener recepción GPS, asegúrese de que el dispositivo está totalmente cargado y se
localiza fuera de edicios y en cielo abierto. Al dispositivo le puede tomar unos minutos
tener conexión GPS después de haberlo encendido.
