Very strong magnetic elds (e.g. transformers) should always be avoided as this may result in
variations in the transmission. Failure to follow these instructions may lead to malfunctions or
damage to your Tractive® GPS device.

The use of this device is not intended for people (including children) with limited physical,
sensory or mental abilities or lack of experience and/or lack of knowledge, unless they are
supervised by a person responsible for their safety or have been instructed on the use of the

Note: Some countries, states or regions have laws related to location based tracking of peo-
ple, animals and objects. It’s the sole responsibility of the owner and user to abide by the law
and rules in the area the Tractive® GPS device is used. Please switch off the Tractive® GPS
tracker before boarding a plane.
SAFETY ADVICE
Important: Although the Tractive® GPS device is small in size, it might be too large or heavy
for small or injured pets.
If you are unsure whether you can use this device with your pet, we highly recommend
consulting a pet doctor or veterinarian.
BATTERY OPERATION
Your transmitter is operated by a rechargeable lithium polymer battery. Below you will nd
some advice on the use of rechargeable batteries:
• The battery of the Tractive
®
GPS device cannot be replaced and must not be removed.
• Batteries may not be disassembled, thrown into re or short-circuited.
• Never expose the Tractive
®
GPS device to excessive heat such as sunshine, re or the
like! This increases the danger of battery leakage.
• Only use the A/C adapter and USB cable that came with your Tractive
®
GPS device. The
use of other cables and/or A/C adapters might overcharge the battery and can lead to
re or explosion.
Disregarding these instructions can cause damage and possibly even cause the battery to
explode.

DISPOSAL
Batteries are hazardous waste. For the correct disposal of batteries,
appropriate containers are provided at the premises of commercial battery
dealers as well as local council waste disposal facilities. If you want to
dispose of your Tractive® GPS device, follow the current local provisions at
the time. Information may be obtained from the local council waste disposal
facility.

FUNCTIONS AND USE
In order to locate your pet or farm animal with Tractive®, a PC with internet connection or a
smartphone (iPhone, Android) is required. The Tractive® GPS app can be downloaded from
the Apple App Store for iOS and the Google Play Store for Android.
The Tractive® GPS device can only be used after successful activation through a web browser.

GETTING STARTED
1. CHARGING THE DEVICE
We recommend to fully charge the Tractive® GPS device before its rst use. Attach the A/C
adapter head to the A/C adapter as depicted below.
Connect the USB cable to the A/C adapter that came
with the Tractive® GPS device. Then attach the charging
clamp on the device as shown in the image below.
The LED on the Tractive® GPS device will turn red while
the device is charging. Once the device is fully charged,
the red light will disappear.
2. DEVICE ACTIVATION
Activation of the Tractive® GPS device requires the device to be turned on. Keep the power
button on the device pressed for around 3 seconds. Once you hear two short ascending beeps
and see a green light, the device has successfully been turned on. Holding the button again
for 3 seconds will turn off the device.

3. TRACTIVE® GPS APP SETTINGS
In order to enable you to locate a pet, open the Tractive® GPS app on your smartphone and
add a pet. The Tractive® GPS app will guide you through the rst steps of adding a pet and
assigning a new Tractive® GPS device to the pet. After the Tractive® GPS device has been
assigned to the pet, the device is ready for use.
Note: After turning on the Tractive® GPS device for the rst time or after a period of
inactivity, it can take a few minutes until the device is ready to use. To speed up this
process, turn on the device and make sure it’s placed under the open sky away from
buildings, trees and electrical towers.
4. ATTACHING THE TRACTIVE® GPS DEVICE TO A PET
COLLAR
You can now clip the device on the collar of your pet using
the collar clips that came with your Tractive® GPS device.
For collars with a thickness of up to 3 mm, use the smaller
collar clip with the letter B on the back. For collars with a
thickness between 3 and 5 mm, use the larger collar clip
with the letter A on the back. It is recommended to position
the device on the collar in a way, that it faces the sky.

If the Tractive® GPS device is loose on your pet’s collar or does not t for some other reason,
we recommend the usage of an original Tractive® collar, available in different sizes from your
Tractive® retail partner and at shop.tractive.com
5. LOCATING A PET AND LIVE TRACKING
After setting up the Tractive® GPS device and adding a pet in the Tractive® GPS app or on
www.tractive.com, you can start to locate your pet. The Tractive® GPS app will guide you
through locating your pet step by step.
LED WARNINGS
The LED located on the top of the Tractive® GPS device indicates the current status of the
device.
Battery is low (red LED ashes 3 times every 15 seconds)
The battery level of the Tractive® device is low. Fully recharge the device to get the
best tracking results.
LIVE Tracking (white LED ashes)
During a LIVE tracking activity the LED ashes in white. This allows you to locate
your pet easier at night time.
DEVICE STATUS
By pressing the on/off button once, the GSM and GPS status of the device will be shown using
two consecutive ashes.

In case of an error, please bring the device into an area with Tractive® coverage. In order to
get GPS reception, ensure that the device is fully charged and located outside of buildings and
under clear sky. It might take a few minutes for the device to get a GPS connection after it has

SICHERHEITSHINWEISE
Wichtig: Obwohl das Tractive® Ortungsgerät nur eine geringe Größe und geringes Gewicht
hat, kann es zu schwer für kleinere oder verletzte Haustiere sein. Im Zweifelsfall ziehen Sie
einen Veterinärarzt zu Rat, bevor Sie das Gerät zum ersten Mal verwenden.
BATTERIEBETRIEB
Das Tractive® Ortungsgerät wird mit einem integrierten Lithium-Polymer-Akku betrieben,
welcher nicht ausgetauscht werden kann.
Nachstehend nden Sie einige Hinweise zum Umgang mit Akkus:
• Der Akku des Tractive® GPS Ortungsgeräts ist nicht austauschbar und darf nicht entfernt
werden.
• Halten Sie das Tractive® GPS Ortungsgerät von Hitzequellen oder Umgebungen mit
hohen Temperaturen fern, wie z.B. direkter Sonneneinstrahlung in einem Fahrzeug.
• Das Tractive® GPS Ortungsgerät darf nicht durchbohrt oder verbrannt werden.
• Laden Sie den Akku des Tractive® GPS Ortungsgeräts nur über das mitgelieferte USB-
Kabel auf. Wird der Akku anders geladen, kann es zu Überhitzung, Explosion oder Feuer
führen.

• Laden Sie den Akku des Tractive® GPS Ortungsgeräts nicht in der Nähe von
Wärmequellen oder im Auto bei starker Sonneneinstrahlung. Die hohe Temperatur führt
zur Zerstörung des Akkus und kann zu Überhitzung, Explosion und Feuer führen.
Die Missachtung dieser Hinweise kann zur Verkürzung der Betriebsdauer des eingebauten
Akkus oder zu Schäden am Tractive® Ortungsgerät führen.
ENTSORGUNG
Batterien sind Sondermüll. Zur sachgerechten Batterieentsorgung stehen
im batterievertreibenden Handel sowie den kommunalen Sammelstellen
entsprechende Behälter bereit.
Wenn Sie sich von Ihrem Tractive® Ortungsgerät trennen möchten,
entsorgen Sie dieses zu den aktuellen Bestimmungen. Auskunft erteilt
die kommunale Stelle.

FUNKTIONEN UND EINSATZMÖGLICHKEIT
Um die Positionsortung Ihres Haus- oder Nutztiers zu ermöglichen, benötigen Sie einen PC
mit Internetzugang und/oder ein Smartphone (iPhone, Android) und die zugehörige Tractive®
App, erhältlich im Apple App Store bzw. Google Play Store.
Das Tractive® GPS Ortungsgerät kann erst nach erfolgreicher Aktivierung in einem Browser
verwendet werden.

INBETRIEBNAHME
1. AUFLADEN DES GERÄTS
Wir empfehlen, das Gerät vor der ersten Aktivierung vollständig aufzuladen. Verwenden Sie
dazu das mitgelieferte Ladegerät und verbinden Sie es mit dem ebenfalls mitgelieferten
Ladekabel. Setzen Sie den Steckeradapter auf das Ladegerät, wie in folgender Abbildung
dargestellt.
Um das Gerät zu laden, verbinden Sie die Klammer des Ladekabels mit dem Gerät, wie in
folgender Abbildung dargestellt.
Während des Ladevorgangs leuchtet das rote Licht auf. Sobald das Gerät vollständig geladen
ist, erlischt das LED am Gerät.
2. AKTIVIEREN DES GERÄTS
Fügen Sie den nachstehend angeführten Link: www.tractive.com/activate
in die Adressleiste Ihres Browsers ein, um zur Tractive® Homepage zu gelangen, welche Sie
Schritt für Schritt bei der Aktivierung des Gerätes begleitet. Um das Gerät zu aktivieren, muss
das Gerät durch langes Drücken (ca. 3 sek) des Schalters eingeschaltet werden. Dies wird
durch das Ertönen von 2 kurzen aufsteigenden Tönen und grünem Licht bestätigt. Durch
erneutes langes Drücken kann das Gerät wieder ausgeschaltet werden.

3. EINSTELLUNG IN DER TRACTIVE® GPS APP
Um die Ortung eines Tieres zu ermöglichen, öffnen Sie die Tractive® GPS App auf Ihrem
Smartphone und fügen Sie ein Tier hinzu. Die Anwendung wird Sie Schritt für Schritt beim
Anlegen eines Tieres und Hinzufügen des Tractive® GPS Ortungsgeräts unterstützen.
Nachdem das GPS Ortungsgerät einem Tier zugeordnet wurde, ist es nun einsatzbereit.
Hinweis: Bei der ersten Verwendung des Tractive® GPS Ortungsgeräts, bzw. nach
längerer Inaktivität kann die erste Positionsortung einige Minuten dauern. Um diesen
Vorgang zu beschleunigen, schalten Sie das Gerät ein und positionieren Sie es unter
freiem Himmel, möglichst weg von Gebäuden und Stromleitungen.
4. ANBRINGEN DES TRACTIVE® GPS
ORTUNGSGERÄTS AM TIER
Klippen Sie nun das Gerät an das Halsband Ihres Tieres.
Verwenden Sie dazu die mitgelieferten Klammern. Für
Halsbänder bis 3 mm Stärke, verwenden Sie die mit B
gekennzeichnete Klammer. Für Halsbänder von 3 mm-5
mm Stärke, verwenden Sie die mit A gekennzeichnete
Klammer. Es wird empfohlen, das Gerät im Nacken des
Tieres anzubringen.
Sollte das Gerät dennoch nicht richtig sitzen oder die
Klammer nicht verschließbar sein, empfehlen wir die
Verwendung eines Tractive® Halsbandes, welches im
Handel oder im Tractive® Online Shop erhältlich ist. www.tractive.com/shop

5. POSITIONSORTUNG UND LIVE-TRACKING
Nachdem ein Tier in der Tractive® GPS App angelegt wurde, kann die Position des Tieres
bestimmt werden. Ihre Tractive® GPS App wird Sie dabei Schritt für Schritt unterstützen.
LED HINWEISE
Die auf der Oberseite des Tractive® GPS Ortungsgeräts angebrachte LED leuchtet in
Abhängigkeit des aktuellen Zustandes in verschiedenen Farben.
Batterie nahezu leer (Rote LED blinkt 3x alle 15 Sekunden)
Der Batteriestatus des Tractive® GPS Ortungsgerätes ist niedrig. Laden Sie das
Gerät auf, um bestmögliche Ortungsergebnisse zu erhalten.
LIVE-Tracking (Weiße LED blinkt)
Während der LIVE-Trackingaktivität leuchtet die weiße LED in kurzen Abständen.
Dies hilft beim Suchen des Haustiers im Dunkeln.
GERÄTESTATUS
Durch einen kurzen Druck auf den Ein/Ausschaltknopf kann der Gerätestatus angezeigt
werden. Das System signalisiert den Status von GSM & GPS in zwei hintereinander folgenden
LEDs:

kein Netzwerk vorhanden - GPS vorhanden
Netzwerk vorhanden - kein GPS vorhanden

Sollte ein Fehlerfall auftreten, bringen Sie das Gerät in eine Zone mit Netzabdeckung von
Tractive®. Um den GPS Empfang zu verbessern, stellen Sie sicher, dass sich das GPS
Ortungsgerät in geladenem Zustand außerhalb von Gebäuden und unter freiem Himmel
bendet. Detaillierte Informationen zu Fehlerfällen sind auf help.tractive.com zu nden.

COMPATIBILITÉ ÉLECTROMAGNÉTIQUE

Renseignement : Dans certains pays et régions, il y a des lois sur le positionnement

du dispositif de repérage GPS Tractive®, est responsable de ne pas violer ces lois ou

en avion avec un Tracker GPS 2 Tractive®, éteignez-le avant de monter à bord.
RENSEIGNEMENTS SUR LA SÉCURITÉ
Attention: Bien que le dispositif de repérage Tractive® soit petit et de faible poids, il peut être
trop lourd pour des animaux domestiques plus petits ou blessés. En cas de doute, consultez
un vétérinaire avant d’utiliser l’appareil pour la première fois.
MODE BATTERIE
Le dispositif de repérage Tractive® fonctionne avec une batterie au lithium-polymère
rechargeable intégrée qui ne peut pas être échangée. Voici quelques instructions pour la
manipulation de la batterie:
• La batterie du dispositif de repérage GPS Tractive® ne peut pas être échangée et ne
doit pas être retirée.
• Ne laissez pas le dispositif de repérage GPS Tractive® à proximité d’une source de
chaleur ou dans un lieu où la température est très élevée, par exemple dans un véhicule
stationné en plein soleil.
• Le dispositif de repérage GPS Tractive® ne doit pas être percé ou brûlé.
• Chargez la batterie exclusivement avec le câble USB fourni. Si la batterie est chargée
différemment, une surchauffe, un incendie ou une explosion peuvent être provoqués.

• Ne chargez pas la batterie du dispositif de repérage GPS Tractive® à proximité d’une
source de chaleur ou dans une voiture stationnée en plein soleil. La température élevée
peut provoquer la destruction de la batterie et peut causer une surchauffe, une explosion
ou un feu.
Le non-respect de ces instructions peut raccourcir la durée de vie de la batterie intégrée ou
endommager le dispositif de repérage Tractive®.
DISPOSITION
Les batteries usagées sont considérées comme des déchets dangereux.
Si vous souhaitez jeter la batterie, veuillez vous rendre chez un revendeur
de piles ou dans des endroits de collecte responsable qui mettent à votre
disposition des collecteurs réservés à cet effet. Si vous souhaitez vous
défaire de votre appareil, éliminez-le selon la réglementation actuelle.
Vous pouvez obtenir des renseignements relatifs au recyclage des
batteries auprès des municipalités.

FONCTIONS ET UTILISATION
An de permettre la localisation de votre animal domestique ou des animaux d’élevage, vous
avez besoin d’un ordinateur avec accès à l’Internet et/ou d’un Smartphone (iPhone, Android)
ainsi que l’application Tractive® GPS correspondante, disponible dans l’Apple App Store ou
sur Google Play Store.
Le dispositif de repérage GPS Tractive® peut être utilisé seulement après l’activation réussie
sur un navigateur.
MISE EN SERVICE
1. CHARGER L’APPAREIL
Nous recommandons de charger l’appareil complètement avant la première utilisation.
Emboitez l’adaptateur dans le chargeur comme sur la photo ci-dessous.
Pour se faire, utilisez le chargeur fourni et branchez-le au câble de chargement qui est
également inclus.
Pour charger le dispositif, attachez la pince du câble de charge à l’appareil, comme indiqué
dans l’illustration. Pendant le chargement, vous verrez des clignotements rouges. Une fois
que l’appareil est chargé, la lumière rouge s’éteindra.

2. ACTIVER LE DISPOSITIF
Pour activer le dispositif, il faut que l’appareil soit allumé. Pour se faire, appuyez sur le
bouton d’alimentation pendant environ 3 secondes. Quand vous entendez 2 bips courts
et voyez une lumière verte, l’appareil est alors en marche. Insérez le lien suivant dans la
barre d’adresse de votre navigateur et rendez vous sur le site Internet de Tractive®, qui vous
conduira étape par étape pour activer votre Tractive® dispositif de repérage GPS Tractive®.

3. RÉGLAGES DE L’APPLICATION TRACTIVE® GPS
Pour vous permettre de localiser un animal domestique, ouvrez l’application Tractive® GPS
sur votre smartphone et ajoutez un animal. L’application vous guidera pendant les premières
étapes pour ajouter un animal et attribuer un nouveau dispositif de repérage GPS Tractive®
à un animal. Après que le dispositif a été attribué à un animal domestique, l’appareil est prêt
à être utilisé.
Note: Après avoir allumé le dispositif de repérage GPS Tractive® pour la première fois
ou après un certain temps d’inactivité, l’activation de l’appareil peut prendre quelques
minutes jusqu’à ce qu’il soit prêt à être utilisé. Pour accélérer ce processus, allumez
l’appareil et assurez-vous qu’il est placé dans un endroit dégagé, loin de bâtiments,
d’arbres et de pylônes électriques. Si vous voyagez en avion avec un Tracker GPS
Tractive®, éteignez-le avant de monter à bord.

4. ATTACHER LE TRACTIVE® DISPOSITIF DE REPÉRAGE GPS TRACTIVE® À
UN COLLIER POUR ANIMAUX DOMESTIQUES
Maintenant vous pouvez xer l’appareil sur le collier
de votre animal à l’aide des pinces (A/B) fournies avec
votre dispositif de repérage GPS Tractive®. Pour les
colliers d’une épaisseur jusqu’à 3 mm, utilisez la pince
inférieure marquée par la lettre B. Pour les colliers de 3
à 5 mm d’épaisseur, utilisez la pince marquée A. Il est
recommandé de positionner le tracker sur le collier de
façon à ce qu’il soit face au ciel.
Si l’appareil est lâche sur le collier de votre
animal ou si la pince ne peut pas être fermée
correctement, nous recommandons l’utilisation d’un
collier Tractive®, disponible en différentes tailles
chez un partenaire revendeur de Tractive® ou sur
shop.tractive.com
5. LOCALISATION DE POSITION ET SUIVI EN DIRECT
Après qu’un animal a été attribué à l’application Tractive® GPS ou sur www.tractive.com,
l’animal peut être localisé. L’application Tractive® vous guidera étape par étape pour la
localisation de votre animal.

SIGNAUX LUMINEUX
La LED située sur le dessus du GPS Tractive® indique le statut actuel de l’appareil.
La batterie est faible (la LED rouge s’allume 3 fois toutes les 15 secondes)
Le niveau de la batterie de l’appareil Tractive® est faible. Rechargez
l’appareil pour avoir de meilleurs résultats pour le suivi.
LIVE Tracking (lumière blanche qui clignote)
Pendant le live-tracking, la LED s’allume en blanc. Cela vous permet de
localiser votre animal facilement durant la nuit.
STATUT DE L’APPAREIL
En pressant le bouton on/off, le statut du réseau mobile et du GPS sera afché grâce à 2
ashs consécutifs.

En cas d’erreur, veuillez placer l’appareil dans une zone couverte par Tractive®. Pour avoir

et qu’il est à l’extérieur par temps clair. Cela peut prendre quelques minutes à l’appareil
