SA VE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

OPERATION

1. Turn off the engine.

2. Add fluorescent dye to the system. For best results, use OEM­approved Tracerline

®

Fluoro-Lite®and Dye-Lite®dyes.

3. Run the engine and/or system for 5 to 10 minutes to circulate the
dye.Turn off the engine.

4. TP-8000A—Connect the battery clips to any 12-volt vehicle battery or
regulated 12 VDC, 8.3 amp (minimum) power source.

5. TP-8000AH from Battery Pack—Connect the battery plug to the
Tracerline TP-1509 12-volt battery pack (available as an accessory)
that includes a 120-volt charger and nylon carrying case. (The

TP-1509/F batter y pack includes a 230-volt charger.) The TP-1509
must be fully charged before using! Refer to the TP-1509
instructions for full information.

6. TP-8000AH from Vehicle Battery—Use the TP-1517 1-ft adapter
cord with 12-volt fused receptacle and battery clips (available as an
accessory) to connect to any 12-volt vehicle battery or regulated
12 VDC, 8.3 amp (minimum) power source.A 12-ft extension cord
(TP-1518) with 12-volt fused receptacle and battery plug is also
available as an accessory. NOTE: Using the extension cord will
decrease the power supplied to the lamp.

7. Do not look directly into the UV/blue light.You m

ust wear the
TP-9940 fluorescence-enhancing glasses supplied with the lamp
to protect your eyes and to make leaks clearly visible.

8. Scan the system with the lamp.Leaks will show with a bright
fluorescent glow.The leaks will show best under low light conditions.

9. After the leaks are repaired, clean off the dye residue with GLO­AWAY™ dye cleaner and reinspect with the lamp.

TO REPLACE THE FILTER LENS

Use only the TP-8011 filter lens.

1.Twist off the filter lens holder (1) and remove the retaining ring (3) to
release the filter lens.

2. Using a clean cloth, press the new filter lens (2) into the holder, black
dot facing toward the bulb.

3. Replace the retaining ring with the ribbed side in contact with the filter
lens.

4. Align the filter lens holder into the notches on the lamp and twist the
holder back into place.

TO REPLACE THE BULB

Use only the TP-8010 100W bulb. Using any other bulb may
damage the lamp and will void the warranty.

1. Remove the filter assembly.Pull the bulb (4) and suppor t ring (5)
from inside the reflector(6).

2. Using a clean cloth, press the new bulb through the bulb ring, into
the reflector and into the bi-pin socket (7) firmly but gently.

3. Reattach the filter/lens assembly.

WARNING

• RISK OF EXPLOSION.This equipment has internal arcing
or sparking parts that should not be exposed to flammable
vapors. It should be located in an area providing at least four
air changes per hour, or should be located at least 18 inches
above the floor.

• Do not secure the momentary ON/OFF switch in the ON
position.This will void the lamp’s warranty.

• Use for a maximum of 5 minutes and allow a 10-minute
cooling period before restarting.

• Always disconnect the lamp from the power source and allow
it to cool to the touch before storing or disassembling.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

1. Read all instructions.

2. Care must be taken as burns can occur from touching hot parts.

3. Do not operate the lamp with a damaged cord or if the lamp has
been damaged.

4. Do not let the cord hang over edge of table, bench or counter, or
come in contact with hot manifolds or moving fan blades.

5.To protect against risk of fire, do not operate the lamp in the vicinity of
open containers of fuel (gasoline).

6. Adequate ventilation should be provided when working on operating
combustion engines.

FONCTIONNEMENT

4. TP-8000A—Connectez les fiches de connexion à la batterie 12 volts

8,3 A (minimum).

5. TP-8000AH à partir d'un bloc de piles—Connectez la batterie au

bloc de piles 12 volts Tracerline TP 1509 (disponible en tant
qu'accessoire) qui comprend un chargeur 120 volts et une housse
de transport en nylon. (Le bloc de piles TP-1509/F comprend un

6. TP-8000AH à partir de la batterie du véhicule—Utilisez le cordon

7. Ne regardez pas directement la lumière émise par UV/blue. Vous

devez porter les lunettes TP-9940 améliorant la visibilité de la
fluorescence qui sont fournis avec la lampe afin de protéger vos
yeux et de rendre les fuites parfaitement visibles.

8. Balayez le circuit avec la lampe. Les fuites apparaîtront sous forme
d'une fluorescence brillante. Les fuites seront plus apparentes sous
un éclairage faible.

9. Après que les fuites sont réparées, nettoyez les restes de colorant
avec le nettoyant approprié GLO-AWAY™ et procédez à une nouvelle
vérification.

POUR REMPLACER LA LENTILLE DU FILTRE

Utilisez uniquement la lentille pour filtre TP-8011

1. Dévissez la monture (1) de la lentille du filtre et déposez l'anneau de
maintien (3) afin de libérer la lentille du filtre.

2. En utilisant un linge propre, appuyez sur le nouveau filtre (2) pour
l'installer dans la monture, le point noir faisant face à l'ampoule.

3. Remettez en place l’anneau de maintien, sa partie cannelée étant en
contact avec la lentille du filtre.

4. Alignez la monture de la lentille du filtre entre les fentes sur la lampe
et revissez la monture en place.

POUR REMPLACER L’AMPOULE

Utilisez seulement une ampoule TP-8010 de 100 W. L'utilisation
d'une autre ampoule peut endommager la lampe et annulera la
garantie.

1. Déposez le filtre.Tirez sur l’ampoule (4) depuis l'intérieur du
réflecteur (6).

2. En utilisant un chiffon propre, poussez la nouvelle ampoule dans la
douille à deux broches (7) fermement mais en douceur.

3. Réattachez le filtre/lentille.

IMPORTANTES INSTRUCTIONS DE SÉCURITÉ

1. Lisez toutes les instructions.

2. Prenez garde à ne pas toucher les pièces brûlantes.

3. Ne faites pas fonctionner la lampe avec un cordon endommagé ou si
cette dernière est détériorée.

4. Ne laissez pas le cordon pendre au bord de la table, de l'établi ou du
comptoir, ni entrer en contact avec des collecteurs chauds ou avec
les pales d'un ventilateur en rotation.

5. Afin d'éviter tout danger d'incendie, ne faites pas fonctionner la lampe
à proximité de récipients contenant de l'essence.

6. Le lieu de travail doit être adéquatement ventilé au cours de tous
travaux sur des moteurs à combustion en fonctionnement.

N'utilisez pas cette lampe en fosse ou au niveau du sol.

GARANTIE

La garantie de cette lampe se trouve inscrite sur le certificat de garantie
limitée inclus séparément avec chaque unité.
REMARQUE: Si vous avez besoin d'assistance, contactez le service à
la clientèle des produits Tracer.

AVERTISSEMENT

• RISQUE D’EXPLOSION. Cet équipement contient des pièces
pouvant émettre un arc électrique ou des étincelles qui ne
doivent pas entrer en contact avec des vapeurs inflamma­bles. Il doit être utilisé dans un espace dans lequel l'air est
au moins renouvelé quatre fois par heure ou doit être
surélevé de 45,7 cm au moins au-dessus du sol.

• L'interrupteur temporaire MARCHE/ARRÊT (ON/OFF) ne doit

CONSERVE ESTAS INSTRUCCIONES

OPERACION

1. Encienda el motor.

2. Agregue tintura fluorescente al sistema. Para obtener los mejores
resultados, use tinturas las Tracerline

®

3. Deje que el motor funcione y que en el sistema circule la tintura de
5 a 10 minutos. Apague el motor.

4. TP-8000A—Conecte los ganchos de la batería a cualquier batería
de 12 voltios para vehículo o a una fuente de corriente regulada de
12 voltios CD, y 8.3 amperios (como mínimo).

5. TP-8000AH de Paquete de Batería—Conecte el enchufe de la
batería al paquete de batería de 12 voltios Tracerline TP-1509 (que

6. TP-8000AH conectado a una Batería del Vehículo—Use el

7. No mire directamente a la luz de la lámpara UV/Blue (ultra-

violeta/azul). Debe

usar gafas TP-9940 que hacen más visible
la fluorescencia y que se suministran con la lámpara para
proteger los ojos y hacer las fugas más claramente visibles.

8. Examine el sistema con la lámpara. Las fugas se verán como un
resplandor fluorescente. Las fugas se ven mejor en condiciones de
poca luz.

9. Una vez reparadas las fugas, limpie el residuo de tintura con el
limpiador de tintura GLO-AWAY

y vuelva a inspeccionar el sistema

con la lámpara.

REEMPLAZO DEL LENTE DE FILTRO

Use únicamente el lente de filtro TP-8011.

1. Desenrosque el elemento que sujeta el lente del filtro (1) y remueva

el anillo de retención (3) para sacar el lente de filtro.

2. Usando un paño limpio, presione el nuevo lente de filtro (2) en el ele

mento que sujeta el lente, con el indicador de punto negro mirando
hacia la bombilla.

3.Vuelva a colocar el anillo de retención con el lado corrugado en
contacto con el lente de filtro.

4. Alinee el lente de filtro en las muescas de la lámpara y enrosque el
elemento que sujeta el lente hasta que quede en su lugar.

REEMPLAZO DE LA BOMBILLA

Use únicamente la bombilla TP-8010 de 100 vatios. El uso de
cualquier otra bombilla puede dañar la lámpara e invalida la
garantía.

1. Remueva el conjunto del filtro. Saque la bombilla (4) del inter ior del
reflector (6).

2. Usando un paño limpio, presione la nueva bombilla introduciéndola
en el receptáculo de dos clavijas (7), presionándola firmemente pero
con cuidado.

3.Vuelva a colocar el conjunto de filtro y lente.

IMPORTANTES INSTRUCCIONES DE SEGURIDAD

1. Lea todas las instrucciones.

2.Tenga cuidado al usar la lámpara, pues puede quemarse al tocar la
piezas calientes.

3. No opere la lámpara con un cable dañado o si la lámpara está
averiada.

4. No deje que el cable cuelgue por el borde de la mesa, el banco de
trabajo o el mostrador o pueda entrar en contacto con distribuidores
calientes o aletas de ventilador en movimiento.

5. Para evitar riesgos de incendio no opere la lámpara cerca de
recipientes abiertos que contengan combustibles (gasolina).

6. Debe haber ventilación adecuada cuando se trabaja con motores de
combustión en operación.

No use la lámpara por debajo o al nivel del piso del garaje.

GARANTIA

La política de garantía de la lámpara se encuentra en el Certificado de
Garantía Limitada que viene incluido con cada unidad.

ADVERTENCIA

• PELIGRO DE EXPLOSION: Esta unidad contiene partes
internas que producen arcos o chispas eléctricas y que no
deben estar expuestas a vapores o gases inflamables. La
unidad debe estar en una zona que proporcione por lo menos

DIESE ANLEITUNG BITTE AUFBEWAHREN

BEDIENUNG

1. Schalten Sie den Motor aus.

2. Füllen Sie fluoreszierenden Farbstoff in das System ein.Beste
Resultate erzielen Sie mit den OEM-zugelassenen Farbstoffen
Fluoro-Lite

®

und Dye-Lite®von Tracerline®.

3. Lassen Sie den Motor bzw.das System 5-10 min. laufen, damit sich
der Farbstoff verteilt. Schalten Sie anschließend den Motor aus.

4.TP-8000—Schließen Sie die Batterieklemmen an eine beliebige
12 V-Autobatterie oder stabilisier te Stromquelle mit 12 V
Gleichstrom und (mindestens) 8,3 A an.

5. TP-8000AH von der Batterie aus—Schließen Sie den
Batteriestecker an die Tracerline TP-1509 12 V-Batterie an (als
Zubehör erhältlich), zu der ein Ladegerät mit 120 V und eine
Tragetasche aus Nylon gehör t. (Zur TP-1509/F Batterie gehört ein
230 V -Ladegerät.) Die TP-1509 Batterie muss vor dem Gebrauch

voll aufgeladen sein.Vollständige Informationen entnehmen Sie
bitte der TP-1509 Anleitung.

6. TP-8000AH von der Autobatterie aus—Verwenden Sie das 30 cm
lange Adapterkabel TP-1517 mit 12 V-Schmelzbuchse und
Batterieklemmen (als Zubehör erhältlich) zum Anschluss an eine
beliebige 12 V-Autobatterie oder stabilisier te Stromquelle mit 12 V
Gleichstrom und (mindestens) 8,3 A. Ein 3,7 m langes
Verlängerungskabel (TP-1518) mit 12 V-Schmelzbuchse und
Batteriestecker ist ebenfalls als Zubehör erhältlich.BEACHTEN SIE:
Die Verwendung eines Verlängerungskabels verringert die Leistung
der Lampe.

7. Schauen Sie nicht direkt in das UV-/Blaulicht. Zum Schutz Ihrer

Augen und zur besseren Erkennung von Lecks müssen Sie die
TP-9940 fluoreszenzverstärkende Brille tragen, die mit der
Lampe mitgeliefert wurde.

8. Suchen Sie das System mit der Lampe ab.Lecks glühen mit hellem
fluoreszierendem Licht. Die Lecks sind am Besten bei schwachen
Lichtverhältnissen zu erkennen.

9. Nachdem die Lecks repariert worden sind, wischen Sie die
Farbstoffreste mit dem Farbstoffreiniger GLO-AWAY™ ab und
überprüfen Sie das System noch einmal mit der Lampe.

AUSWECHSELN DER FILTERLINSE

Verwenden Sie ausschließlich TP-8011A Filterlinsen.

1.Drehen Sie den Filterlinsenhalter (1) ab und entnehmen den
Sicherungsring (3), um die Filterlinse frei zu legen.

2. Setzen Sie die neue Filterlinse (2) mit Hilfe eines sauberen Tuchs so
in den Halter, dass der schwarze Punkt zur Birne hin zeigt.

3. Setzen Sie den Sicherungsring so wieder ein, dass die gerippte Seite
die Filterlinse berührt.

4. Setzen Sie den Filterlinsenhalter in den Kerben der Lampe und
drehen Sie den Halter wieder fest.

AUSWECHSELN DER BIRNE

Verwenden Sie nur TP-8010 Birnen mit 100 W. Andere Birnen
können die Lampe beschädigen und führen zum Erlöschen der
Garantie.

1. Nehmen Sie das Filterteil ab. Ziehen Sie die Birne (4) aus dem
Reflektor (6) heraus.

2. Schieben Sie die neue Birne mit Hilfe eines sauberen Tuchs fest aber
vorsichtig in die Zweistiftfassung (7).

3. Bringen Sie das Filter-/Linsenteil wieder an.

WICHTIGE SICHERHEITSHINWEISE

1. Lesen Sie alle Anweisungen.

2. Seien Sie vorsichtig, denn das Berühren heißer Teile kann zu
Verbrennungen führen.

3.Verwenden Sie die Lampe nicht, wenn das Kabel defekt ist oder die
Lampe beschädigt wurde.

4. Lassen Sie das Kabel nicht an Tisch- oder Bankseiten herunter
hängen oder mit heißen Ver teiler n oder laufenden Gebläseflügeln
in Berührung kommen.

5. Zum Schutz gegen Brandgefahr verwenden Sie die Lampe niemals in
der Nähe von offenen Brennstoffbehältern (Benzin).

6. Bei der Arbeit an laufenden Verbrennungsmotoren muss eine
angemessene Belüftung gewährleistet sein.

Nicht unter Garagenboden- bzw. Erdbodenhöhe verwenden.

GARANTIE

Die Gewährleistung entnehmen Sie bitte dem Blatt “Begrenzte
Garantie," das jedem Gerät separat beiliegt.
BEACHTEN SIE: Wenden Sie sich bei Fragen jeglicher Art an die
Kundendienstabteilung von Tracer Products.

WARNUNG

• EXPLOSIONSGEFAHR. Dieses Gerät verwendet interne Teile,
die Lichtbogen oder Funken erzeugen und daher keinen
zündfähigen Gasen ausgesetzt werden sollten. Es sollte an
einem Ort aufbewahrt werden, der mindestens vier Mal pro
Stunde mit Frischluft versorgt wird, oder sich mindestens
45,7 cm über dem Boden befinden.

• Sichern Sie den EIN/AUS-Momentschalter nicht in der EIN­Stellung. Dies führt zum Erlöschen der Garantie der Lampe.

• Gebrauchen Sie die Lampe nicht länger als 5 Minuten am
Stück und schalten Sie sie erst nach einer 10-minütigen
Abkühlzeit wieder ein.

• Trennen Sie die Lampe immer von der Stromquelle und
lassen Sie sie abkühlen, bevor Sie sie lagern oder zerlegen.
