Trace Engineering is a world leading manufacturer of high
performance Inverter/Chargers. The Truck Series delivers
clean 120 VAC 60 Hz power to run standard AC equipment
from batteries. Forget the high price and poor performance of 12 Volt appliances. Improve the quality of life on
the road and be more productive by using standard
appliances and equipment. Reduce idle time by running
from battery power and recharging from shore power.
WHAT CAN I RUN?
If it plugs into the wall, now it can run in the rig. Trace units
offer continuous power ratings from 600 to 3000 watts.
They are capable of surge power 2 to 3 times their rated
output and can hold 150% of rating for 5 to 10 minutes:
• Equipment: Tools, Electric Polisher, , Power Tools
• Conveniences: Electric Blanket, Fans, Hair Dryer
HOW DOES AN INVERTER WORK?
Wired to the battery bank, the Inverter electronically converts 12 VDC into normal household AC power. The output is
permanently wired to a power strip or standard electrical
outlets. While the engine is running the battery is charged
from the alternator and when the engine is off, equipment
continues to run for hours from the batteries. With a “shore
power” cord you can plug into any AC power (like plugging in a block-heater) and the Trace unit passes AC to all
the appliances plus charges the batteries at the same time.
HOURS OF OPERATION FROM BATTERIES
How can a set of batteries run accessories for hours? Truck Series
units have very high efficiencies over their whole power range.
High efficiency means less battery is used to run loads, so the
battery power lasts longer. Moreover, when no AC loads are
running the search mode draws less than 1/2 watt so the
by itself can’t run down the battery even if left “On” for days.

SAFETY AND RELIABILITY
All Trace Truck Series Inverter/Chargers are UL or ETL listed to tough UL and
CSA standards for performance and safety. Charger versions include
transfer switching and ground switching to meet safety code requirements.
Trace units also include protection against short circuit, AC back-feed, over
temperature, and under/over voltage. The Truck Series has been proven in
million mile vehicles and is backed by a full two-year warranty.

SERIES I
T6112 - T1112 - T1412
Series I is intended to deliver a
tough no-nonsense machine
for tight spots and lots of
power. Perfect for under-bunk
installation and ready to hard-wire
to an AC outlet or power strip, these
units pack enough power to run most
accessories. The optional 3 stage built-in charger can
crank batteries back to full within hours (and comes
with a built-in 30 amp transfer switch). The optional
RC8 remote control means you can bury the unit and
still control it from the dashboard or living area.
All the Power You Need
With models from 600 watts to 3 kilowatts, there is a unit
for any budget. The Truck Series is designed to run
serious loads like motors and microwaves. Most models
can surge up to three times rated output for starting
punch. In overload, they can deliver twice their rated
power for up to five minutes, allowing several jobs at the
same time without nuisance shut downs.
SERIES II
T2012 - T2512 - T3012
Delivering up to 3000 watts,
Series II sets the industry
standard for power, performance and programmable
features. The built-in 3 stage
charger and 30 amp transfer switch is
standard. This larger capacity lets you run
many loads at the same time. The RC7 full function
remote can adjust all programmable settings plus accesses the built-in Battery Fuel Gauge. The fuel gauge
monitors the battery and reads in bar graph, % full or time
remaining. It also gives time left to recharge when in
charge mode.
Save Your Battery
Deep discharge of your battery can leave you
stranded, and it’s the number one cause of expensive
battery replacement. The Truck Series has battery
protection which shuts down the AC output before your
battery voltage is dangerously low. So you always have
cranking power.
Transparent Connection to “Shore Power”
Whether it’s an extension cord run to the shop or a plaza
hook-up, more and more locations offer the ability to
hook up to “shore power”. The Truck Series has a built-in
30 amp transfer switch so you can plug in and everything keeps running automatically. The transfer feature
meets all UL and NEC safety code requirements.
Accessories
Safety and performance dictate a quality installation with high performance components
and accessories. Install Truck Series Units “out-of-sight” and keep control with a remote.
