ALL OPERATIONAL DIFFICULTIES
If this thermometer does not function properly for any reason, replace the battery with a new highquality battery (see “Battery Replacement” section). Low battery power can occasionally cause
any number of “apparent” operational difculties.
Replacing the battery with a new fresh battery will
solve most difculties.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
Erratic readings, a faint display, or no display, are all indicators that the battery must be replaced. Use a screwdriver to remove the battery cap by turning the cap counter-clockwise approximately 1/4 of a turn. Turning the cap further than 1/4 of a turn may damage the cap. Replace the exhausted battery with a new 1.5 volt, silver oxide, size 393 battery. Make certain the positive (+) side is visible. Replace the battery cap by turning the cap clockwise approximately 1/4 of a turn. Turning the cap further than 1/4 of a turn may damage the cap.
