BATTERY REPLACEMENT
Erratic readings, a faint display, or no display
are all indications that the battery is low and
needs to be replaced. To replace the battery,
remove the battery cap, located on the top
of the unit and marked open, by turning it in
the direction of the arrow (counterclockwise).
Remove the battery and insert a new Cat. No.
1039 battery. Make certain that the positive
(+) side is facing you. Incorrectly installed
batteries may damage electronics. Replace
the Battery Cap.
ALL OPERATIONAL DIFFICULTIES
If this thermometer does not function properly
for any reason, please replace the battery
with a new high quality battery (see “Battery
Replacement” section). Low battery power
can occasionally cause any number of “apparent” operational difficulties. Replacing
the battery with a new fresh battery will solve
most difficulties.
