Congratulations in upgrading your existing ADSL service to your new ACN nbn™ Broadband Service
This guide details the steps to follow when setting up your new NBN Service using your existing ACN supplied TP-LINK modem.
If you ordered an ACN nbn™ + Phone Bundle service you should also have received an ACN VoIP package that includes the equipment you need to set up the phone component of your nbn™ + Phone service, plus a separate User Guide. It is
important that you complete the set-up of your ACN nbn™ Broadband service prior to attempting the set-up of the Phone component of your Service. For further details, refer to the User Guide provided with your VoIP Phone service.
Important Note: Before you begin the set up and conguration, please ensure that you have received your ACN
Activation email (sent to the email address you provided us when you signed up for your ACN migration service). This email conrms that your new ACN nbn Broadband service is ready for set up.
This Setting up your ACN nbn™ Broadband Service (reconguring the ACN Modem)
Before you begin reconguring your existing ACN Modem, please remove the ADSL lter and any existing telephone lines that are connected to the telephone socket. Then reconnect the modem telephone cable to the telephone socket.

Connect your computer to the modem router using one of these options:

Enter http://tplinkmodem.net or
ht tp: //192 .16 8 .1.1 in the address bar.
Type in admin for both the username and password and click Login.

a. Wired - Connect one end of the
Ethernet cable to the modem and the other end to the Computer
b. Wireless (Wi-Fi) - Connect wirelessly
by using the default network name (SSID) and password on the product label printed on the bottom of the modem router.
Note: if you have changed the
default network name (SSID) and password, use your congured wireless SSID and password to connect your computer to the modem router wirelessly.

window does not appear, please refer to FAQ -> Q1
Open a web browser on your computer to begin the conguration of the modem router:
From the modem’s conguration menu on the left, click on Network and then WAN settings. This will bring up the DSL WAN Interface screen.
Click Add in order to add new VDSL WAN connection for your nbn™ connection, and proceed to next step.

2. From the DSL Settings screen, select the following settings as per below screenshot.
• DSL Modulation Type: Auto Sy nc-up
• Annex Type: Annex A/L
• Enable Bit Swap: leave it checked
• Enable SRA: tick the check box to enable
• Disable AELEM: leave it unchecked if it is available
• Click SAVE
From the WAN Settings screen, select the following
settings as per screenshot.
• For DSL Modulation Type: VDSL
• Enable Vlan ID: leave it unchecked
• Connection Type: select Dynamic IP
• Enable IPv4: leave it checked.
• Enable IPv6: leave it unchecked
• Click Save. This will then take you back to the DSL WAN Interface screen.

Note: If you receive an error code, check to see if there is an
existing WAN connection with the name:
Ipoe_ptm or Pppoe_ptm
And with an O in the VP1/VC1 column.
If so, click Delete in the end column and repeat step 3.
From the DSL WAN Interface screen, you will see a new WAN connection with the name starting with ipoe_ptm. You have now successfully added a new WAN connection for your nbn™ connection.

1. From the modem’s conguration menu on the left, click on Network and then DSL Settings. The DSL Settings screen will appear.

You will now be prompted with the warning message “Clicking OK will cause a disconnection. Would like to continue”.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. What can I do if the login window does not appear?
If the computer is set to a static or xed IP address, change it to obtain an IP address automatically.
Verify ht t p://tpli nk modem.net o r http://192.168.1.1 is correctly entered in the web browser and press Enter.
Use another web browser and try again.
Reboot your modem router and try again.
Disable the network adapter used currently then enable it again.
2. What can I do if I cannot access the Internet?
Check your cables and make sure they are all plugged in correctly, including the telephone line, Ethernet cable and power
adapter.
Check to see if you can log on to the Web-Management page of the modem router. The default address of the Web­Management page is ht t p://tpli nkmodem.net o r http://192.168.1.1. If you can, try the following steps. (If you cannot, please
set your computer to obtain an IP address automatically and then try to access the Internet again.)
3. How do I restore the modem router to its factory
default settings?
With the modem router powered on, press and hold down the WPS/RESET
Button on the rear panel of the modem router for approximately 5 seconds.
Log in Web Management page of the modem router, and go to System Too ls->Factory Defaults, click Restore, and then wait until the progress bar
loading nished.
4. What can I do if I forget my password?
Web Management page password:
Restore the modem router to its factory default settings and then use the default Username ‘admin’ and Password ‘admin’ to log in.
Wireless Network password:
The factory default password can be found on the product label printed on the bottom of the modem router.
If you have changed your password, log on to the modem router’s Web Management page, go to Wireless-> Wireless Security to obtain or reset your password.
