INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of
re, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:
1. Read all instructions before using this heater.
2. CAUTION: Hazard of Electric Shock. Disconnect from power supply before servicing or cleaning.
3. To disconnect heater, turn controls to off, then remove plug from outlet.
4. Connect to properly grounded outlet (or circuit) only.
5. C A U T I O N : High temperatures. Keep cords and all other combustible material, such as furniture, pillows, bedding,
papers, clothes and curtains away from the heater. For safe and efcient operation, keep an open space around heater
of three feet in front and twelve inches at sides and rear.
6. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Use the handle when moving
this heater.
7. Do not use outdoors.
8. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar locations. Never locate heater where it may
fall into a bathtub or other water containers.
9. A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use in areas where gasoline, paint, or ammable liquids
are used or stored.
10. Always unplug heater when not in use.
11. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left
operational and unattended.
12. Do no t op e ra te any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or
damaged in any manner. Return heater to authorized service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, or repair.
13. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or the like. Arrange cord away from trafc
area and where it will not be tripped over.
14. The manufacturer recommends that an extension cord NOT be used with this heater. Avoid the use of an extension cord
as it may overheat and cause a risk of re; however, if an extension cord is used, it must be at least the minimum wire
size and rating specied in the table listed in these instructions.
15. To prevent a possible re, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed,
where openings may become blocked.
16. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or
re, or damage the heater.
17. Use this heater only as described in this manual, Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause re,
electric shock, or injury to persons.
18. This heater uses a manual reset type limit control, which opens the circuit to the heating element. The pilot light will
illuminate if the manual reset trips. If any over-temperature condition occurs, disconnect the heater, determine cause
of overheating and correct the problem. Then after heater has cooled, using a small diameter tool, push to reset through
the small hole in heater cabinet to resume operation.

MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS:
• Always unplug your portable electric heater before cleaning or disassembling.
• Do not bend or damage heating elements when cleaning. Any bending or breaking will cause your
heater to be inoperable.
• Your heater requires dusting. Always use a clean, dry cloth for dusting or a crevice tool on
your vacuum cleaner to remove built-up dust and lint. DO NOT USE WATER. The motor in your
heater requires oiling. Use 1 or 2 drops of SAE-20 oil on the bearing areas of the motor prior to
each heating season.
• Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.
• When heater is not in use, disconnect and roll up cord.
• When heater is not used for extended periods, clean as directed above and store in original carton
to prevent possible damage.
NOTE: Altering this heater, in any way, will void your warranty.

En utilisant des appareils électriques, il faut toujours prendre des précautions élémentaires pour
réduire les risques d’incendie, d’électrocution et de blessures, y compris ce qui suit :
1. Lisez toutes les instructions avant d’utiliser cette unité de chauffage.
2. ATTENTION : risque d’électrocution. Débranchez alimentation avant l’entretien ou le nettoyage.
3. Pour débrancher l’unité de chauffage, mettez-la hors fonction, puis retirez sa che de la prise de courant.
4. Utilisez uniquement une prise de courant ou un circuit correctement mis à la terre.
5. ATTENTION : haute température. Gardez les câbles électriques et les matières combustibles telles que les meubles,
les oreillers, les matelas, le papier, les vêtements et les rideaux à l’écart de l’unité de chauffage. Pour assurer un
fonctionnement sécuritaire et efcace, maintenez un dégagement de 90 cm (3 pi) à l’avant de l’unité de chauffage, et
de 30 cm (1 pi) sur les côtés et à l’arrière.
6. Cette unité de chauffage est très chaude pendant son fonctionnement. Pour éviter de vous brûler, ne touchez pas ses
surfaces chaudes. Utilisez la poignée pour déplacer cette unité de chauffage.
7. Ne l’utilisez pas à l’extérieur.
8. Cette unité de chauffage n’a pas été conçue pour être utilisée dans une toilette, une salle de lavage ou un emplace-
ment similaire. Ne placez jamais l’unité de chauffage dans un endroit où elle risque de tomber dans une baignoire ou
dans de l’eau.
9. L’unité de chauffage contient des pièces chaudes pouvant produire des arcs électriques ou des étincelles. Ne l’utilisez
pas dans une zone où de l’essence, de la peinture ou d’autres liquides inammables sont utilisés ou rangés.
10. Débranchez toujours l’unité de chauffage lorsqu’elle n’est pas utilisée.
11. Il faut faire très attention lorsqu’une unité de chauffage est utilisée par des enfants ou personnes handicapées, ou à
proximité de ceux-ci, et lorsque l’unité de chauffage fonctionne sans surveillance.
12. N’utilisez pas l’unité de chauffage si son cordon ou sa che est endommagé, si l’unité de chauffage est défectueuse,
ou si elle a été échappée ou endommagée. Retournez l’unité de chauffage chez un réparateur autorisé pour vérication, ajustement électrique ou mécanique, ou réparation.
13. Ne placez pas le cordon sous un tapis. Ne recouvrez pas le cordon avec des carpettes, des couvertures, etc. Gardez
le cordon à l’écart des zones de trac, an que personne ne trébuche dessus.
14. Le fabricant recommande de ne PAS utiliser un câble de rallonge avec cette unité de chauffage. Évitez d’utiliser un
câble de rallonge, car il pourrait surchauffer et provoquer un incendie. Cependant, si vous devez utiliser un câble de
rallonge, il doit avoir le calibre et l’ampérage minimums spéciés dans le tableau de la page suivante.
15. Pour éviter tout risque d’incendie, ne bloquez pas les orices d’entrée ou d’échappement d’air. Ne placez pas l’unité
sur une surface souple, telle qu’un lit, an de ne pas bloquer ses ouvertures.
16. N’insérez pas de petits objets dans les orices de ventilation ou d’échappement, car cela pourrait causer un choc
électrique ou un incendie, ou endommager l’unité de chauffage.
17. Utilisez l’unité de chauffage uniquement de la manière décrite dans ce mode d’emploi. Toute autre utilisation non
recommandée par le fabricant peut causer un incendie, un choc électrique, ou des blessures.
18. Cette unité de chauffage est dotée d’un dispositif de sécurité à réinitialisation manuelle qui désactive l’élément chauffant en cas de surchauffe. La lumière pilote allume si les voyages de rétablissement manuel. Si une condition de
surchauffe se produit, débranchez l’unité de chauffage, déterminez la cause de la surchauffe et corrigez le problème.
Une fois que l’unité de chauffage a refroidi, insérez un outil de faible diamètre dans le petit trou situé sur l’enceinte et
appuyez pour réactiver l’unité de chauffage.

DIRECTIVES D’ENTRETIEN :
• Débranchez toujours votre unité de chauffage portable avant de la nettoyer ou de la démonter.
• Assurez-vous de ne pas plier ni endommager les éléments chauffants durant le nettoyage. S’ils
sont pliés ou endommagés,votre unité de chauffage ne fonctionnera pas correctement.
• Votre unité de chauffage doit être périodiquement époussetée. Utilisez un linge propre et sec ou une
tuyère d’aspirateur pour enlever la poussière et la peluche accumulées. N’UTILISEZ PAS D’EAU.
Le moteur de votre unité de chauffage doit être huilé. Appliquez 1 ou 2 gouttes d’huile SAE-20 sur
les surfaces de roulement du moteur avant le début de chaque saison de chauffage.
• Tout autre entretien ou réparation doit être effectué par un représentant de service autorisé.
• Lorsque l’unité de chauffage n’est pas utilisée, débranchez-la et enroulez son cordon.
• Si l’unité de chauffage ne sera pas utilisée durant une longue période, nettoyez-la comme indiqué
ci-dessus et placez-la dans sa boîte d’origine an de ne pas l’abîmer.
REMARQUE : toute modication de l’unité de chauffage, quelle qu’elle soit, annulera votre garantie.

LIMITED WARRANTY
Products manufactured by TPI Corporation are warranted to the original consumer to be free from defects in material and
workmanship for twelve (12) months from the original purchase date.
The TPI limited warranty does not cover products that have been modied outside of our factory, damage or failure caused
by acts of God, abuse, misuse, connected to or placed on other than rated voltage, abnormal usage, fault, installation,
failure to follow suggested maintenance procedures enclosed with the product, improper maintenance or any repairs other
than those provided by an authorized TPI service center.
There are no obligations or liabilities on the part of the Corporation for consequential damages arising out of or in connection
with the use or performance of the product or other indirect damages with respect to loss of property, revenues, prot, costs
of removal installation, or re installation.
All implied warranties with respect to TPI products, including implied warranties for merchantability and implied warranties
for tness, are limited in duration to twelve (12) months from original date of purchase, except those products or parts of
products which are warranted for long periods thereon.
Some states do not allow the exclusions or limitation of incidental or consequential damages and some states do not allow
limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts. The above exclusions or limitations may not apply to you.
During the warranty period, TPI Corporation will, at its sole option, repair or replace any defective parts or products
returned, freight prepaid, to the TPI Corporation factory or such other locations as TPI Corporation may designate.
Returned products must be packaged carefully and TPI Corporation shall not be responsible for damage in transit.
When returning parts, the owner must provide the model number of the product and nature of difculty being experienced.
This warranty does not obligate TPI Corporation to bear the cost of labor in replacing any assembly, unit or component part
thereof, nor does the company assume any liability for secondary charges, expenses for installing or removal, freight or
damages. There will be charges rendered for product repairs made after the warranty period has expired. Proof of pur-
chase, including date, must accompany request for in-warranty service. In any event, TPI Corporation’s maximum liability
shall not in any case exceed the list price for the product claimed to be defective. This warranty gives to you specic legal
rights and you may have other rights, which may vary from state to state. For the name of your nearest authorized TPI
