CONDITI ON ACTION
Bulb does not work, flickers or is dim:
Check that the bulb is correctly seate d in the socket.
Check that the socket is cle an.
Check that the wire s have not come loose.
Check that the bulb is intact (no damage, no loose bulb ends, no broken filame nt).
If problems persist, there could be a fa ult with the vehicle’s wiring or e lectrical system. Contact your Toyota Deale r Service Department for diagnosis and repa ir.

REMOVE THE BULB LENS COVER – Using the screw driver, care fully relea se the lens cover from its housing.
ALWAYS REMOVE THE KEYS FROM THE IGNITION W HEN WORKING ON THE VEHICLE. SEE
CAUTION ON BACK PANEL.
DOUBLE-ENDED BULBS – These are prima rily used for interior dome lights.
DIFFICULTY LEVEL
• Genuine Toyota Replace ment Bul b
• Flat-tip (– shaped) scre w driver (small #1)
• Rag or paper tow el s
IN SPECT THE LENS COVER – Check for cra cks, damage and deterioration. Replace as required.
IN STALL A NEW B ULB – Carefully pull back one of the spring clips to seat the bulb betw een the clips, then rele ase tension on the clip and ma ke sure the bulb is properly seate d.
REMOVE THE BURNED-OUT BULB – Care fully pull back one of the spring clips to rele ase tension on the bulb. If the bulb is stuck, use the screwdriver to rele ase the bulb from the spring clips.

CAUTION: M ake sure the drive r’s and passenger’s doors are closed and that the dome lamp sw itch is in the “off” position before changing the bulb.

CHECK FOR LOOSE WIRES OR CONN ECTORS – Repair or replac e as re quired.

IN SPECT THE SOCKET FOR DIRT AND CORROSION – Clea n off any dirt with a rag or paper tow el. If corroded, the light socket(s), wire connec tor, and/or light assembly may re quire re place ment.
