TowMate, TM500-315, Wireless Transmitter Instructions
Operation
1. Locate the receptacle on the truck designated for trailer/towing lights.
2. Firmly plug your TowMate wireless transmitter into the receptacle making
sure the latch on the door locks the transmitter in place by latching to the
notch on the body of the transmitter.
3. The unit should now send wireless signals to your TowMate wireless tow
light in correlation with the trucks’ signals.
*Notes: TowMate wireless transmitters are wired to the most widely
used pin configurations, however there may be some truck
manufacturers who wire their receptacles counter to the
standard.
If your unit does not operate properly, please consult the trucks
manual to verify how the receptacle is wired and compare it to
the below pin-outs of TowMate wireless transmitters.
If the wiring matches up but the unit is still not operating, be
sure the ground pin is grounded to the truck chassis in order to
eliminate the possibility of a ‘floating ground’ that could cause
the unit to not operate properly/at all. .
