GREAT BRITISH DESIGN, INNOVATION AND EXCELLENCE SINCE 1912
Since the turn of the 20th century, Tower has been designing, developing and manufacturing housewares and small appliances used by millions of households throughout the UK and beyond. During the 1960s, the rise in popularity of pressure cooking saw Tower become the UK’s largest producer of pressure cookers, right through into the late 1980s. In recent years the Tower brand has been reborn with an exciting and varied range of housewares and electrical appliances that have quickly reinstated the brand’s richly deserved status as a household name.

4 - Before First Use
Before first use: Read all instructions and safety information carefully before first use. Please
retain this information for future reference.
1. Remove all packaging materials including those that may be inside the toasting slots or toasting lever slots.
2. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Dry thoroughly. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
3. Do not put the Toaster, cord or plug in water.
4. Make sure the crumb tray is pushed all the way into the back of the toaster and the toasting levers are in the UP position.
5. Unwrap the power cord from the cord storage area on underneath the toaster, and plug it into a 220-240V AC outlet.
6. Turn the browning selector knob to the lightest setting.
7. Lower the toasting lever until it locks into place. Operate the toaster without bread once or twice to burn off any manufacturing residue. The odour is normal and will go away after several uses.
Note: You may notice a light amount of smoke; this is also normal and will stop
as the heating elements continue to heat.

Self-Centring Guides: Lowering the toasting lever closes the centring guides and holds the bread or
toaster food centrally in the toasting slots.
Note: The toasting lever will not lock down unless the toaster is plugged into an
electrical outlet. Browning Guide:
Seven heating levels give you precise toasting results. Simply select your desired browning level from the chart below.

Toasting Instructions:
1. Make sure the crumb tray is pushed all the way into the back of the Toaster and that the toasting lever is in the UP position.
2. Make sure no bread or any other objects are inside the toasting slots.
3. Place the Toaster on a flat, level, heat resistant surface.
4. Plug the power cord in to a mains outlet.
5. Position the browning selector knob to your desired setting. There are 7 browning levels. Level 1 is for white and level 7 is for the darkest browning setting.
6. Remove all protective wrappings from food before placing into the toasting slots.
7. Insert bread or toaster food into the toasting slots. One or two slices can be toasted at a time.

9. When the toast reaches the selected browning level, it will pop up automatically.
10. Remove bread from toasting slots. Caution: Use care when removing bread as the bread and the top of the toaster will still be hot.

13. Unplug cord from wall outlet when not in use.
Caution: If toaster starts to smoke, press Cancel button to stop
