BEFORE YOUR FIRST USE
1. Remove the appliance and all accessories from the packaging. Peel off any adhesive labels, if any.
2. Wash the blades, in warm, soapy water before use.
3. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Your appliance is now ready for normal use.
WARNING:
DO NOT immerse the unit in water.

PRODUCT SAFETY INFORMATION
Check that the voltage of the main circuit corresponds with the rating of the appliance before operating.
Please ensure that the appliance is used on a stable, level, and heat resistant surface.
Do not immerse cords, plugs or any part of the appliance in water or any other liquid.
Do not leave the appliance unattended while it is operating.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
Take care when any appliance is used near pets.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children should not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance should not be undertaken by children without supervision.
Switch off at the wall socket then remove the plug from the socket when not in use or before cleaning.
If the supply cord or appliance is damaged, stop using the appliance immediately and seek advice from the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person.
Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter or let it come into contact with any hot surfaces.
The use of accessory attachments other than those supplied is not recommended.
Do not pull the plug out by the cord as this may damage the plug and/or the cable.
Do not use this product for anything other than its intended use.
This appliance is for household use only.
Do not carry the appliance by the power cord.

Do not use any extension cord with this appliance.
Do not use the appliance outdoors.
Use of an extension cord with this appliance is not recommended. However, if it is necessary to use an extension lead, ensure that the lead is suited to the power consumption of the appliance to avoid overheating of extension cord, appliance or plug point. Do not place the extension cord in a position where it can be pulled on by children or animals or tripped over.
In case of technical problems, switch off the product and do not attempt to repair it yourself. Return the appliance to an authorised service facility for examination, adjustment or repair. Always insist on the use of original spare parts. Failure to comply with the above mentions precautions and instructions, could affect the safe operation of this product.

Blades are sharp. Handle carefully. Always handle blades with hand away from cutting edge. Always store blades with cutting edge away from you.

Disconnect from the mains supply before changing blades.
Only use the appliance for its intended domestic use. The manufacturer will not accept any liability for the appliance if subject to improper use or failure to comply with these instructions.

USING YOUR APPLIANCE
Assembly
1. Do not plug in to mains before the blades have been inserted.
2. Make sure that your palm is on the dull side of the blade and the fingers away from the sharp edge.
3. Lay both blades parallel to each other with the metal pin from one blade to be locked into the slot of the other.
4. Grip both blades together at the finger protector and glide into the housing until they snap in.
5. Test the security of the blades by applying a light pressure in the reverse direction. (Attempting to remove the blades.) For this operation, it is recommended to have the protective sheath over the blades in order to avoid an accident.
6. The appliance is now ready for operation.
Removing the blades
1. Unplug the unit.
2. Press the blade release button. The blades will eject automatically.
3. Disconnect when changing blades.
Operation
1. To operate the knife, press the “power button” with your thumb.
2. To cut the food, simply guide the blades through the food. It is not necessary to move the knife back and forth, as the double cutting action of the two blades will slice the food quickly, easily and neatly. To cease cutting, release pressure from the power button, which automatically turns the appliance off.
NOTE: Poultry bones can not be cut using these blades.

CARE AND CLEANING
1. To clean the outer surface of electric knife, use a sofa damp cloth and dry it afterwards with a dry towel. Clean only after unplugging the electric knife from the mains supply.
2. Never use metal polish.
3. All removable parts on the electric knife should be detached and cleaned thoroughly in warm, soapy water at regular intervals.
4. The knife is factory lubricated and requires no further user servicing.
IMPORTANT! Allow to dry fully after cleaning before using again.
Do not use the appliance if damp. Ensure the appliance is completely clean and dry before storing.
Storage
To store your appliance:
1. Unplug power cord from the power outlet and clean as above.
2. Allow the appliance to dry fully.
3. Place the safety blade cover over the blades and store in a cool dry place.

IMPORTANT! WIRING SAFETY
(For UK Use Only) As the colours in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, please proceed as follows:
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
Blue [N] Neutral
Brown [L] Live
Plug Fitting Details (where applicable)
The wire coloured blue is the neutral and must be connected to the terminal marked [N] or coloured black. The wire coloured brown is the live wire and must be connected to the terminal marked [L] or coloured red. On no account must either the brown or the blue wire be connected to the [E] terminal
.
Always ensure that the cord grip is fastened correctly.
The plug must be fitted with a fuse of the same rating already fitted and conforming to BS 1362 and be ASTA approved. If in doubt consult a qualified electrician who will be pleased to do this for you.
Non-rewireable Mains Plug
If your appliance is supplied with a non-rewireable plug fitted to the mains lead and should the fuse need replacing, you must use an ASTA approved one (conforming to BS 1362 of the same rating).
If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician who will be pleased to do this for you.
If you need to remove the plug - disconnect it from the mains - and then cut it off the mains lead and immediately dispose of it safely. Never attempt to reuse the plug or insert it into a socket outlet as there is a danger of an electric shock.
WARNING:
This appliance is double insulated.
Do not connect any wire to the earth terminal.
