1912 Midland Metal Spinners was founded by
George Cadman, who was then 65 years old, as
a metal holloware manufacturing company, in St.
Mark’s Street, Wolverhampton. They later moved
into the Tower and Fort Works in Pelham Street,
which ultimately gave rise to the famous Tower
brand name.
1937 Tower exhibited some of their latest holloware
designs at the British Industries Fair. As you can
see from the original poster, their stand No. A410
must have been a great sight as it promoted their
“Beautiful, inexpensive, untarnishable Plate, at
prices all can afford to pay”.
1961 Tower became one of the largest
manufacturers of aluminium holloware, electric
kettles, tea pots and other household articles with
over 1,000 employees.
1974 Russell Hobbs took ownership of the
expanding Tower brand.

3USINGYOURAPPLIANCE
Place the health grill on a at, heat resistant surface.
Plug the thermostat into the thermostat socket.
Plug the health grill into the wall.
Adjust the thermostat dial to your desired setting. The temperature light will illuminate when the thermostat reaches the required temperature.
Once the grill has reached the required temperature, the thermostat light will go out. The grill is now ready for use.
When grilling or frying, use a spatula to turn your food over frequently whilst cooking.
You can choose to cook with the lid closed in order to use the health grill for oven cooking.
Thermostat:
Setting 1: On
Setting 2: Keep Warm
Setting 3: Grilling at a low temperature
Setting 4: Grilling at a medium temperature
Setting 5: Grilling at a high temperature
ReversiblePlates:
The 2 in 1 Ceramic Health Grill and Oven has two cooking areas. The at plate is suitable for cooking fried eggs and vegetables. The grill is suitable for cooking meat such as burgers, chicken and sausages.
To change the plate, lift the reversible plate out of the base unit, using the black handles on either side.
Before removing the reversible plate, ensure that the thermostat is unplugged and removed from the unit. Make sure that the Health Grill and Oven is off and has had sufcient time to cool.
If you have cooked on one side of the reversible grill plate and would now like to cook on the other side, it is recommended to wipe the plate down with a kitchen towel.
To replace the plate align it above the base. Ensure you have aligned it correctly, with the thermostat socket on the right. Lower the plate into place, allowing the earth safety pin to insert into the corresponding earth safety connector on the grill plate. This ensures correct assembly and a safe earth connection.
Fittingthelid:
When the lid is tted correctly, it will click into place, and the latch at the front will be shut.
The glass lid is removable. To remove the lid, unclip the front latch and move the lid upwards and away from the back of the unit. On the back of the unit there are two slats which allow you to attach and detach the lid.

To stand the lid up during cooking, unclip the latch and move the lid upwards, as you would during removal. Once you have lifted the lid up, instead of moving it backwards to remove, move the lid down so it slides down the standing slats. When the lid is correctly in place it will stand securely.

Prepare all vegetable ingredients by chopping them to roughly the same size and shape, for even grilling.
