1912 Midland Metal Spinners was founded by
George Cadman, who was then 65 years old, as
a metal holloware manufacturing company, in St.
Mark’s Street, Wolverhampton. They later moved
into the Tower and Fort Works in Pelham Street,
which ultimately gave rise to the famous Tower
brand name.
1937 Tower exhibited some of their latest holloware
designs at the British Industries Fair. As you can
see from the original poster, their stand No. A410
must have been a great sight as it promoted their
“Beautiful, inexpensive, untarnishable Plate, at
prices all can afford to pay”.
1961 Tower became one of the largest
manufacturers of aluminium holloware, electric
kettles, tea pots and other household articles with
over 1,000 employees.
1974 Russell Hobbs took ownership of the
expanding Tower brand.

7
Avoid contact with moving parts. Keep hands and utensils out of blender jug while blending to prevent personal injury or damage to the blender.
WARNING: The blades are sharp. Handle with care.
Never let the power unit, cord or plug get wet.
To reduce the risk of injury, never place cutter-assembly blades on base without blender jug properly attached.
Never exceed the maximum capacity.
Do not attempt to bypass the interlock system that powers the unit on.
Always operate on a at surface.
Unplug the blender when not in use, before taking off or putting on parts and before cleaning.
To prevent product overheating, dry ingredients must not be processed for more than 30 seconds at a time.
IMPORTANT! In the base of each blade’s collar, there is a silicone gasket seal that creates an airtight t with the jars. After dish-washing and before each use, always check to make sure the gasket is properly in place as the heat from some dishwashers may cause the gasket to become loose.
WARNING: Do not operate the

Warning: Do not use if the blending
cup is cracked or broken. Do not operate the Blender when the blending cup is empty.

3USINGYOURAPPLIANCE
The Tower Pro Blend is ideal for healthy eating on the go.
Choose your own ingredients and blend to your perfect consistency for a smoothie catering exactly to your taste.
Using the Tower Pro Blend you can also chop, grate, grind, puree and more. Simply add your ingredients to the jar and attach to the blender.
Push down for the blades to work and remove when done.
Gettingstarted:
1. Place the motor section on a at surface, e.g. a kitchen counter, and make sure it is standing rmly.
2. Plug in and switch on the power.
3. Choose your required function, and follow the guidelines to complete the task required.
4. Place the ingredients into your chosen blender attachment.
5. If the ingredients need to be either chopped or grated do so at this point before placing them in the beaker.
6. It may be necessary to add more liquid if the ingredients are unable to reach the blade if you are juicing or blending.
7. Firmly attach the required cutter to the beaker. First remove the ring from the top edge of the beaker if tted. Ensure that the cutter is tted securely before the appliance is started. If damage occurs as a result of incorrect tting then this is not covered by the warranty
8. Turn the beaker with the tted cutter upside down and place the cutter in the hollow of the motor section so that the
three plastic pins on the beaker ts into the holes on the top edge of the motor section.
9. Hold the base unit down with one hand and press down on the beaker with the other hand.
10. The motor runs as long as you press the beaker down.
11. You can also get the motor to run continuously by pressing the beaker down and turning it slightly in a clockwise direction until the pins lock into place under the black edge of the motor section. Stop the motor by turning the beaker slightly in an anti-clockwise direction to release the pins. See also Blending Techniques in the recipe book.
12. Remove the beaker with the tted cutter from the motor section when you have nished blending. Turn the beaker upside down again and remove the cutter. Always allow the blades to come to a full stop before removing the blender attachments.
13. The beaker can now be used for serving. Simply attach the ring to the top edge of the beaker, making it more comfortable to drink from.
14. If you do not want to use your end product immediately, you should cover the beaker with one of the convenient storage lids and store in your refrigerator.

Choosingtherightblade:
Please ensure that the blade is located tightly in position before placing onto the base unit.
Thecrossblade:
Chopping: Foods like onions, garlic and carrots, and for making dips such as salsa, bean dip or gazpacho.
Blending: The cross blade pulverises ice for smoothies, frozen cocktails and milkshakes.
Mixing: Batters for pancakes, mufns and quick breads are mixed in seconds.
Grating: Foods like hard cheeses, chocolate and carrots are grated in seconds.
Puréeing: Dishes such as hummus and all natural soups are creamy smooth in seconds.
Theatblade:
Grinding & Chopping: Coffee beans, nuts and dried fruit.
Whipping: Homemade whipped cream, butter and cream cheeses.
Functionality:
How to use your Pro Blend to blend:
First load your cup with ingredients, then add the cross blade to the bottom of the cup until reasonably tight.
Then place your cup onto the blender base and push down, this will start the blender, only hold the cup down for a maximum of 5 to 7 seconds at a time, then pause, and repeat until your contents are blended to your preferred consistency.
Please Note: The amount of times you need to pulse to reach the desired consistency will increase when using frozen fruit or vegetables.
How to use your Pro Blend to mix:
Add the ingredients to the tall cup or blender, depending on the size of the batch, twist on the cross blade, then mix until smooth.
How to use your Pro Blend to juice:
Use the at blade. Place your juice extractor in the jug, then add your desired fruit or vegetables in to the extractor, place the lid on to the jug and remove the jug cap.
Using the plunger push down the fruit whilst running the Pro Blend and see your juice lling up the jug, pause, then repeat again until no more juice can be extracted.
With the lid still on pour your juice in to your party cup or glass.
As the Pro Blend Juice Extractor Kit is designed to catch all pulp and only strain pure juice through the mesh sides, if you plan on using fruits or veggies that produce small amounts of juice, you will need a lot. A large carrot and small apple produces only the tiniest bit of juice, but plenty of pulp and fruit remains that could be blended into a smoothie.
How to use your Pro Blend to chop:
Firstly remove any skin from your produce, i.e.: onions & garlic, place into the small cup adding the cross blade, place on to the base unit, give it several quick pulses until you reach your desired consistency.
How to use your Pro Blend to whip:
Add your produce to the short cup, twist on the at blade and whip until you reach your desired consistency.
Page 10
10
How to use your Pro Blend to grind:
Add the produce to the short cup and twist on the at blade, place the cup on to the power base, pulse a few times or lock on to reach the desired texture.
How to use your Pro Blend to puree:
To use your Pro Blend for puréeing, add your required produce to the small or large cup and attach the cross blade, place on to the base and press down for 5 to 7 seconds at a time until you reach your required consistency.
How to use your Pro Blend to grate:
To use your Pro Blend as a grater, place your produce in the tall or small cup, using the cross blade attach to the base and press down for 5 to 7 seconds at a time, then pause, and repeat again until you get your required amount.
Use to grate hard produce i.e.: chocolate, carrots and cheese.
When grating cheese, the harder it is the better the result.
BuiltinSafetyLock:
The blender has a built-in safety lock feature.
This ensures that you can only switch on the appliance while the cup and the blade assembly are assembled on the motor base securely.
QuickClean:
Fill the jar half way full with warm water and a drop of washing up liquid and t the blade assembly on. Fit the jar and blade onto the motor body. Once in place, blend for 10 – 20 seconds.
Remove the jar and unscrew the blade assembly and then rinse them under running water.
MakingTheMostOfYourProBlend:
Adding porridge oats to your smoothie gives you an energy boost.
The cheapest way to get in season, delicious fruit is by buying frozen fruit.
Frozen fruit helps make your smoothie extra thick.
To add a burst of avour, add the juice of half a lime.
Adding kale to your smoothie helps boost your immune system. Whereas spinach, carrots and red pepper give you an extra health boost thanks to their antioxidant content.
Adding nuts helps your smoothie become more of a breakfast, rather than just a drink.
When using lime, roll it under your hand to break the cells. This gives you more juice from it.
Spinach is avourless in a smoothie, yet very healthy, so don’t be afraid to throw a lot in.
Coconut water is a popular liquid to use in smoothies.
Dandelion greens and kale aid your body’s detoxication process.
Page 11
11
StandardSmoothieMethod:
1. Add all the ingredients to the jar, starting with the heavier items (ice, frozen fruit) as this will help everything blend). Add the liquid ingredients last.
2. Attach the blade assembly on to the jar. Plug in your Pro Blend and attach the jar and blade assembly to the main body of the blender.
3. Push the jar down and blend until you have reached your desired consistency.
4. Remove the jar from the main body of the blender and take off the blade assembly. Either screw on the jar lid or decant into a glass.

4TROUBLESHOOTING&FAQ’S
Motor doesn’t start or attachment doesn’t rotate
Make sure jar tabs are sealed in the slots and turned clockwise.
Food is unevenly chopped
Either you are chopping too much food at once, or not pulsing properly. Reduce the amount of food in the jar.
Food is too nely chopped or too watery
The food has been over-processed. Use short operating for best results.
You can not achieve crushed ice from ice cubes
For best result, use ice straight from the freezer. Try using a shorter operating time.
Jar is leaking Make sure that your lid or blade assembly is properly assembled. Leaking
may occur if it is misaligned when twisted onto the jar.
Unit doesn’t turn on Make sure the unit is plugged in.
Make sure the blade assembly is properly assembled to the jar and that it is not misaligned.
Unit doesn’t turn off Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet and call customer service
for support.
Doesn’t mix well Pulse ingredients for best results. Press down on the jar in short intervals
for even blending and chopping. For frozen ingredients, pulse in short intervals of 2-5 seconds and repeat.
Lid/blade assembly does not properly align to the jar
Set the jar on a level surface. Place the lid or blade assembly on top of the jar and align the threads so that the lid/blades sit at on the jar. Twist clockwise so that the lid/blades evenly align to the jar until you have a tight seal.
Do I need to peel my ingredients?
It is recommended to peel any fruit with a brous, thick skin, such as bananas and oranges. Depending on personal taste you can leave skins on some of your ingredients, like kiwis.
What do I do if the silicone gasket seal is broken?

5CLEANING&CARE
IMPORTANT!
In the base of each blade’s collar, there is a silicone gasket seal that creates an airtight t with the jars. After dish-washing and before each use, always check to make sure the gasket is properly in place as the heat from some dishwashers may cause the gasket to become loose.
Remove plug from the mains socket, and allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning.
Do not immerse the motor unit of the appliance in water and make sure no water enters the appliance.
Clean the motor unit by wiping it with a damp cloth. A little detergent can be added if the appliance is heavily soiled.
Do not use scouring pads, steel wool or any form of strong solvents or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the appliance, as they may damage the outside surfaces of the appliance.
The beaker, rings, lids and the cutter can be washed using detergent and are all dishwasher proof. Be careful if you wash the cutter by hand, as the blades are extremely sharp.
If the cutter is not properly attached, liquid may seep out into the internal part of the base unit. This may also be removed using a slightly dampened cloth and a little detergent. Check that the motor section is thoroughly dry inside before using the appliance again after cleaning.
Inside the blade unit is a plastic sealing ring, which may become loose when the unit is put through a dishwasher. Therefore, please check that the sealing ring is still in place when you remove the blade unit from the dishwasher
IMPORTANT! Allow to dry fully after cleaning before using again. Do not use the appliance if damp. Ensure the appliance is completely clean and dry before storing.
To store your appliance:
1. Unplug power cord from the power outlet and clean as above.
2. Allow the appliance to dry fully.
3. It’s good practice that the 2 blades are each attached to a cup. This will prevent the blades from being misplaced and reduce cutting hazards.
4. Store on a at, dry level surface out of reach of children.
