strong enough to install
due thestructure of
building.
■ Do not installin locationswhere
harmful orcorrosive gassesmay be
present (i.e. acidic,alkali, organic
solvent, paint gasses etc. from
machinery or factories)
Installationin such a
location could cause a
gas-poisoning and a

fire.
■ Provide an exclusive circuit breaker
that can completely break contacts on
all the polesby morethan3mm through
direct connection to the power
terminals.
Depending upon the environmentfor
installation,it becomes necessary to
install an earth leakage breaker.
● Askthesalesofficeorthe
engineering shop to perform the
work.
■ D o not installin locations where oily
smoke orsoot may bepresent.
Prohibited
■ Don't incline Heat Exchange Ventilators when taking them
out.
Otherwise, water remaining inside is likelyto
drop and wet the furnitureor other property.
Prohibited
● Ask the salesoffice or the engineering shop to perform
the work.
CAUTION
■ Never fail toinstall the unit inside the
heat insulting walls or, inother words,
in the space insulated from the open
air.
Unless the earth leakage
breaker is installed, it could
causeanelectricshock.
There isa possibility that
oil will adhere to the filter,
heat exchange element
etc. and make operation
impossible.
If you install it outside or in the space
equivalent to the open-airconditions,
dew is condensed insidethe body in
the winterseason.
■ Do not install in locations with high
humidity, such as close to bathroom
etc.

Features
Main Features
1. Energy saving ventilation
Thanks toefficient recovery of thermal energy lost during Ventilation (load incurred by outside air), you can save anairconditioning fee.
2. Facility saving
Thanks to a drastic reduction of load incurred by outside air, you can make air-conditioners more compact in parallel with the
recovery ofthermal energy.
3. Humidity adjusting effect
In a cooling mode, a highly humid open-air is brought nearto a dehumidified room atmosphere and then supplied. In a warming
mode, aroom humidity is transferred tothe dried outside air and then supplied.
4. Comfortable and consistentventilation
Ventilation isavailable with least possible fluctuation of a room temperature. Since exhaust and air intake areperformed
simultaneously, a stable ventilationis possible even in a highly airtight room.
5. Sound shield effect
The ducts of the unit and the heat exchange element are characteristic of sound shield effect. Thus, it prevents an outside noise
from coming in the unit and also sound inside the unitfrom going out, so that the office and store environment canbe preserved.

Specific Caution Items
Checking Location of Installation
This Energy Recovery Ventilatorshave been des igned especially for use in offices, conference rooms, etc.
Please check to ensure that neither themain unit nor the inlet-outlet grill are installed in any of the following locations.
Locationsexposedto high temperatures or
direct flame.
Avoid installing the Heat Exchange Ventilators
or theinlet-outlet grillin locationswhich reach
temperatures of40°C or above.
Usage underhigh temperature conditions may
cause distortionof the filter or Heat Exchange
Element or motor burn-out.
40°C
Make sure that access is provided so thatfilter and Heat
Exchange Element maintenanceand periodic spot checks of the
unit canbe easily carried out.(Refer to the Model Installation for
its space)
If thereare any problems concerning the location or installationof the unit, please consult either storefrom which it was purchased
or the agent who installed it.
Locations with high humidity.
Do notinstall in highhumidity locationssuch as
bathrooms.
Doing so may cause a breakdown of the unit or
an electric shock.
Do not install the unit in locations such asmachinery or chemical
plants where it will be exposed to noxious gases containing
acids, alkali, organic solvents, paint fumes, etc.,to gases
containing corrosive ingredients, or where dust or oil mist will be
produced.
Locations with large amountsof oily
smoke, such as food preparation areas.
The unit will become inoperable if the filter or
Heat Exchange Element become clogged with
oil.
Always besure to usea filter.
Failure to do so may cause dustand dirt to
build upon the heat exchangeelement,
lowering its efficiency and rendering it
inoperable.
Operate the switch withcertainty.
In particular, suddenly turning the switch
on and off will not only causeimproper
operation of the unit, but will also
obversely affect the relay inside the switch,
and maydamage it.
