[Reason]
The drum thermistor of FC22 is pressed forcefully to drum side in comparison with current copiers. The sensor is protected with sliding tape and a mylar sheet. If wearing of the contact area with the thermistor is continued:
The plate spring which holds the sensor is exposed. --> The drum thermistor and the drum will
contact. --> Short with Main + 5.1V and ground --> The fuse of the power supply unit is cut. To prevent this phenomenon, be sure to exchange the drum thermistor based on 180K.
[Note]
If this phenomenon occurs: When the main switch is turned on, the "FC22 display" on the LCD does not move on to warming up. In that case check the thermistor and change the fuse based according to the following procedure.
Turn off the main switch.1. Pull out the connector J706 on the power supply unit.2. Measure the residence value of fuse ICP5 on the power supply.3.
