In addition, DSE is distributing Software Update Kits to update the customers who own SC Software version 1.0. The software in these kits include SC-1 Controller Software version
1.1.2.6 and SC-Client Software version 1.1.16.6. The other software components have remained the same. For details on the differences between the software in the production release and the software in the update kits, please look further in this document.
1. Dependencies
The SC-1 Controller Software Version 1.1.2 requires the following engine FROMs:

2. New Features/Enhancements
The following major new features have been added to Version 1.1 software. A complete report on all closed and remaining field claims will be sent separately.

SC-1 Controller
Support for the DP2460, DP2570 and DP3580 Digital copiersl The SC-1 is now fully Netware 5 compliant in PSERVER and NPRINTER modes l (non-NDPS) Support for user-selectable refresh rates which are preserved across multiple sessions l of use Euro-character supportl New RESET button in Network/Printer>Admin LCD screen to clear the SC-1 network l settings and prepare it for a new or different connection. Please note that this is a recently added feature and it is not documented in the SC-1 Administrator's Guide When the SC-1 is shutdown, either from the LCD panel or from within SC-Admin it will l now power off itself The SC-1 Registry is now automatically backed up at 3:00 AM each day. Please refer to l DSE Service Bulletins I2 and I3 for details The SC-1 will no longer browses the network and thus generate unwanted network l traffic. Please see the Update Kits section later in this document for additional details. The Swap file system within the SC-1 has been tuned for optimal performancel When the specified cassette does not have the correct paper size, the user will be l prompted on the LCD to load the appropriate paper in the Bypass tray. If AUTOCONTINUE is set to NONE, the job will be canceled after 60 seconds have expired During Walk-Up fax from the platen, if the user input is inactive for over 40 seconds l before pressing NEXT, the fax job will be canceled. If the user input is inactive after pressing NEXT but before pressing DONE for over 40 seconds, the fax job will be sent with the pages scanned
