CONTENT
Phenomenon
When the sheet exits in the Sort/Group/Non-Sort (except for staple sort) mode, there is a possibility that
abnormal noise will arise from paper-exit unit of the finisher.
Cause
When the sheet exits in the above mode, the abnormal noise occurs due to sliding between the shaft
and the idler gear (attached to the drive at vibration guide rear side) which transfers drive from the
paper-exit motor to the vibration guide.

Countermeasure
If the above abnormal noise occurs, apply the molycort to the sliding point of the idler gear and shaft.
Procedure
Turn OFF the power supply when the finisher tray is lowered. 1.
Remove the slide guide and the upper guide (6 screws) in the Service Manual procedure.2.
Apply the molycoat to the sliding point of the idler gear and the shaft as follows.3.
Vibration guide
Idle gear
Greece is applied to the sliding
point with the shaft.
