CONTENT
The ADU jams (by left sheets of paper in the ADU) have been caused due to an operation error in
the ADU holding gate. As a countermeasure, the following parts have been changed.

Details
When there is contact between the armature edge
area of the flapper solenoid and the collar
projection area, the rotation of the holding gate
can be controlled ON/OFF. But the armature edge
area and collar contact does not operated normally
because of uneven parts. As a result, ADU jams
can occur.
Countermeasure
To prevent the contact of the armature with the
collar, they have been changed from June at the
factory. (Refer to the above list.)
Check and Application
The new pars are applied.

Confirm the gap between the armature and the collar
1) Remove the feed cover of the ADU and look
in arrow direction B.

2) Lift the handle H (a) and turn the clutch gear
C (c) in the direction shown while pressing the
armature of the flapper solenoid in direction X
(b).

3) Confirm that there is a gap between the
armature of the flapper solenoid (e) and the
collar of the spring clutch (d) (all round).
