* SG3FAX phase 2 has been added to DP3580.
* SGFAX phase 1 which is installed to DP3580 is upgraded to phase 2.

[HDD formatting]
Refer to BSI "F98K432" for the HDD formatting. If the Document Storage function is used, especially
the formatting should be performed in response to "F98K432" contents. Then, the stored images
information in the Document Storage function will be cleared, therefore pay particular attention to this
point.

1. Print the following three lists.
1) Function setting list
2) Phone book number list
3) Group number list
2. When the MEMORY RX. LED is lit, change to the FAX display and perform forced printing by
pressing down the HELP key.

3. Check that no reservation job is in the outputted FAX Reservation list.
4. Turn off the power supply.
5. Remove the FAX board.
6. Install the phase 2 system ROM and the phase 2 FAX board ROM.
7. Before installing the FAX board, set the setting mode "08-701" value.

8. Press down the START key in the fax clear mode "1*-101"; 15 seconds or more are needed before
the power supply OFF can be turned off.
* Though the registered telephone book is stored, the image is released and the self-diagnosis mode
"13" setting value is changed to the default value.
9. Install the FAX board.
10. Turn on the power supply, and perform the fax clear mode "1*-101" once more.
11. Turn on the power supply once again.
12. Print the following three lists and check that there is no change for ROM replacement
1) Function setting list
2) Phone book number list
3) Group number list
13. The customer's phase 1 Operator's Manual is to be replaced by a the phase 2 one; be sure to
explain the function.
--- The FAX option can be newly added to copier models without FAX ---
1. Turn off the machine power.
2. Install the phase 2 system ROM.
3. Before installing the FAX board, set the setting mode "08-701" value.
