When setting up the KR-7009 and the KR-7012, be sure to carry out HDD formatting according to the
following points.
Note
To improve the functions of the KR-7009 or the KR-7012, it is necessary that formatting be
performed.
When a copier has the ROM of VER5/VER6 installed and it is changed to VER8 and subsequent
ROM (including VER9,VER10, etc. to be published later), be sure to do this.

Operation Method
(1) In the filing function perform the registration of the backup for the original image.
When HDD formatting is performed, all of the stored images on the hard disk in the filing function
will be cleared. When formatting is operated, the images which are stored on file should be printed
ahead of time. After formatting has been performed, the filing function is available again and the
images can be kept on a hard disk again.
(2) Perform HDD formatting with the "GDI/FAX type"
* After finishing the ROM replacement, the setting mode 08 code 690 (HDD formatting) is performed
by pressing "1".
* Make sure that the setting mode 08 code 691 (HDD type display) value is "1".
