When other than recommended paper is used or if there is very much duplex copying:
If the paper warping or billowing (etc.) becomes great, the following phenomena may occur.
The mylar guide upper transport belt and the mylar guide of the fuser entrance become soiled,and
the paper trailing edge becomes dirty or paper jams may occur.

[Cause]
When operated under the above conditions, it is a possible that the paper trailing edge may rise up
and may contact the mylar guide upper transport belt and the mylar upper guide at the fuser unit
entrance.
[Countermeasure]
The guide is now to be supplied as a Service Part as shown below.
When this problem occurs, the guide should only be exchanged if this brings about real improvement.
