1. Phenomenon
Since contact is made with the upper terminal (TERMINAL-TR-F) when the upper unit is closed, it
has happened that this has caused the lower charger terminal to become broken.

2. Cause
If the harness (red) connected to the lower charger terminal has been wired while it was stretch, it
may be pulled in the direction of the arrow and there is a possibility that it may fall into the inside of
the copier (refer to figure 1).

3. Contents of Countermeasure
3-1. To prevent the lower charger terminal (TERM-HMV-M) falling out, cushion material has been
attached to the transport belt unit.
