Field Service Management System (FSMS): This FSMS function is to enable the reading or
rewriting by personal computer of RAM data inside copying machines. This system primarily intends
that servicemen be able to offer the most effective maintenance of the machine.

The following procedure should be applied when the system is used.
But the following procedure is not always applied to the first lot at the factory, so refer to the note.

1)Installation of interface board in the PPC copier

2)Confirmation of MAIN ROM version of the PPC copier and when necessary exchange
of ROM

3)Installation of application software to the PC

4)Connection of PC and cable the PPC copier with the RS-232C

Machines after May 1997 at the factory (ME711921~) can use FSMS with the above
procedure.

Machines after May 1997 at the factory (DE710101~) can use FSMS with the above
procedure.

But when the logic PC board (PWA-LGC) is changed to the FSMS applied type, the first lot
(DD710001~710100/TAD region) before April 1997 at the factory can be used with the above
procedure.

2. Confirmation of MAIN ROM version of the PPC copier and exchange of ROM
When this system is used, the MAIN ROM of the copier side needs the corresponding version.

When the version of the MAIN ROM is older than the following versions, be sure to exchange it
for the new version ROM.

When the MAIN ROM is replaced, in the 3560,3570, 4560, 4570, 5560, 6560, 7560, 7660, pay
attention to combination with the ROM (PNL/LCD) except the MAIN ROM.
