UNIT
Fuser/Paper-Exit
DTM-F7508
[Cause]
The driving gear is so fixed that the scraper inside may become caught on the rear side of the exit
roller.
The jam removal knob is fixed on the front side of the exit roller. When the knob has been pulled out
because of a jam clearance operation, the driving gear which is fixed to the rear side may be
removed.
[Countermeasure]
The removal of the fuser unit can be prevented by setting an E-ring to the external driving gear.
l
Addition of E-ring
The current groove width in the rear side of the exit roller shaft is expanded due to the l
installation of the E-ring.

Though the countermeasure has already been applied from the first lot (except for the l
2060/2860/2870), it has not been listed in the present Service Parts List. This has been
corrected in this BSI.
In the 2060/2860/2870, the E-ring only has already been added in BSI F97H976 (Change of l
Parts). The countermeasure contents and application are as follows.
