CONTENT

Error content When a original feeding jam is being cleared and the original is pulled out in the direction of the original tray without the jam cover being opened, the boss at the bottom side of the separation pad holder may become removed from the fixing bracket. If in this condition the jam cover is opened, pressure will be brought to bear on the pin of the separation pad holder and in some cases it may even become broken.

Countermeasure Even if the original is pulled out without opening the jam cover, the separation pad holder no longer becomes removed from the bracket because the boss at the bottom of the separation pad holder has been changed. (see "A").
