In cassette feeding, paper jamming may occur for the following reason.

end of the label

Tray-up functioning

When the tray is moving up, the back end of the paper can be caught by the lower end of the back
plate label, and paper feeding will be rendered impossible. As a countermeasure, the shape of the
back plate label has been changed.

Cause 2/Countermeasure

Paper

The leading edge of the paper becomes caught on the mylar edge.

Mylar

The leading edge of the paper becomes caught on the mylar edge and paper feeding is hindered. As
a countermeasure, the thickness of the mylar has been changed from 0.5mm to 0.25mm.
