CONTENT

Phenomenon
During setting of the sort/group mode, shift misfeeding to the front may be caused when the first copy
sheet exits.
Cause
If the dimension of the standard board (P11/Item 6) in the front side is in the vicinity of the max.
tolerance, the standard board convex portion may interface with the end face of the staple tray notch
portion (P11/Item 50). If it becomes caught, the solenoid cannot be pulled out because it has too
much attraction force. As a result, pulled shift misfeeding of the standard board occurs and of the
copy paper.

1 washer (0.5 mm) has been added to the shaft of the standard board (rear side) and the above
standard board convex portion cannot interface with the staple tray.
