FIELD APPLICATION
To be applied when necessary
FACTORY APPLICATION
The ROM (LCD ROM) for each languages will be altered later. The MAIN ROM will not be altered. If only the MAIN ROM is altered, then operating errors could very well occur. (Refer to "Combination of ROM Versions")
Contents Remarks
1 When inputing the new value to change the edge-erase width or
image-shift copy width, the new value canl be set without pressing the SET key. When the machine is set up for the use of access codes, after
2
copying, pressing the ALL CLEAR key twice should return it to code stand by status. However, sometimes this does not happen, and this is to be corrected. Adjustment code for countermeasure to insufficient transfer

[ Details of insufficient transfer countermeasure code ]
1. Control contents of each setting value Each output of transfer, separation DC, and pre-transfer discharging (PTC) for single-side/duplex copying has been changed as shown in Table 1.

2. Countermeasure to insufficient transfer
Though the insufficient transfer problem is improved by allowing PTC output (pre-transfer discharging), there is still some image deterioration. Then, the setting value at the time of shipping of code 64 is "0", so single-side copying does not experience insufficient transfer even without PTC output. Only duplex copying requires a PTC output as insufficient transfer easily arises.
(1) Insufficient transfer in single-side copying
Increasing the numerical value "0-->3-->4-->1-->5--> 6-->7-->8", Code 64 is effective in correcting this problem. When an insufficient transfer appear on the leading edge of the copy, it is prevented by setting value "3,4". When insufficient transfer appears on the whole surface of the copy, it can be prevented by setting values "1, 5, 6, 7, 8". Especially, the effect on thin papers can be altered by setting value "5, 6, 7, 8". However, as the separation DC output is down in accordance with change of the setting value to "5 -->6 -->7 -->8 ", there is a possibility that separation claw mark (leading edge of image) may be left or jams may occur .
(2) Insufficient transfer in duplex copying
Increasing the numerical value "0(=3,4) -->1 -->5 -->6 -->7 -->8", Code 64 is effective in correcting this problem. When an insufficient transfer appears, try each setting value "1, 5, 6, 7, 8". However, as the separation DC output is down in accordance with the change of the setting value to "5 -->6 --> 7 -->8 ", there is a possibility that separation claw mark (leading edge of image) may be left or jams may occur .
3. Notes
When the setting value of code 64 is changed at the time of shipping to value "0", the following settings have to be adjusted at the time of shipping before the change. (See below.)
Transfer: DC-78 ~ -88mV Separation: AC133~151mV (True value)
AC127 ~ 144mV (Average value) Separation DC Setting value of mode 05/code 44 is "185" PTC: DC40~56mV
(pre-transfer discharging)
In the 6560, if the setting value of code 64 is changed, there is no change in the charger output so there is need to adjust the exposure.
[ Combinations of ROM Versions ]
When the change of the ROM version is performed in the field, the MAIN, LCD and PNL ROMs should also be changed to the newest versions at the same time (see below). If combinations other than these are used, then operating errors could very well occur.
