CONTENT
In order to increase the margin for detection of the present or absence of staples within the staple
cartridge, the PROM has been changed as follows. (Adjustment value of staple-empty detection level
has been changed 3.00V to 2.75V)
Adjust the level of the staple sensor as follows when the new PROM has been replaced.

"Adjusting the Staple Sensor (PT1)"
1) Set an empty cartridge in the stapler unit.
2) Remove the rear cover, and turn SW1-2 on the controller ON.
3) Check that LED 1 on the finisher controller PCB is ON.
* If LED 1 is not ON, turn VR1.
If flashes at long
intervals

4) Pull out the empty cartridge from the staple unit, and set a cartridge with staples.
5) Check that LED 1 goes OFF.
* If LED 1 fails to go OFF, check the face of PT-1 or staple cartridge for paper lint.
