
Updating the dynadock™ Drivers to version 2.3

The updated dynadock™ Video Driver upgrades the video support and user interface enhancements for the
following operating systems:
• Windows® 2000 - Video and user interface enhancements
• Windows® XP - Video and user interface enhancements
• Windows Vista® Basic - Video and user interface enhancements
• Windows Vista® Aero™ - Adds Extended mode video support and user interface enhancements
NOTE:
• Before starting the steps below, you must eject the dynadock™ using the TOSHIBA dynadock™
utility icon on your Notification Area/System Tray.
• Disconnect the dynadock™ from the computer. Any devices connected to the dynadock™ will be
disabled.
• Close all programs and applications as you will need to re-start your computer three
• The existing dynadock™ drivers will be uninstalled before installing the updated dynadock™ drivers.

Retrieving the updated dynadock™ drivers – Windows Vista
Go to www.dynadock.com to download the latest dynadock™ driver version 2.3
1. Click on the download icon.
2. Save the dynadock_2.3 file to your computer under the Desktop folder.
It will take several minutes to download the file.
3. Click “Open Folder”
4. Double click on the “dynadock_2.3” file
5. Click RUN
6. WinZip Self-Extractor will open, click OK.
7. Click UNZIP > OK
8. Minimize the Desktop folder. The dynadock™ install menu will appear.
NOTE: The install program will uninstall the existing dynadock drivers:
• Dynadock™ Utility
• TOSHIBA USB Audio
• TOSHIBA Video Dock
• DisplayLink Core Software
9. Click on “Install dynadock™ Utility & Driver”
10. The “Uninstall option menu” will pop up
11. Click OK. This will start to uninstall the old drivers.
12. Select “Remove dynadock™ Utility” and click Finish
13. Click “Close” to exit.
The TOSHIBA USB Audio Uninstallation screen will open.
14. Click OK to Start to uninstall TOSHIBA Audio driver
15. Re-start your computer.
NOTE: After re-starting your computer, Windows Installer will prompt you to uninstall the products.
Click “Yes” to uninstall the remaining TOSHIBA Video Dock and DisplayLink Core Software drivers.

Installing the new drivers
Run the dynadock™ install program again
1. Double click on the “dynadock_2.3” file from your Desktop
2. WinZip Self-Extractor will open, click OK.
3. Click UNZIP > OK
4. The dynadock™ install menu will appear.
5. Open “dynadock_2.3” folder on your desktop
6. Click on “Install dynadock™ Utility & Driver”
7. Follow instructions on the screen
8. Re-connect the dynadock™ when the program stated “Please Plug in TOSHIBA USB Audio.
9. You will be asked to register for new dynadock™ updates. Click OK to skip. You can always visit
dynadock.com for updates.
10. Re-start your computer.

17. Click on the download icon.
18. Save the dynadock_2.3 file to your computer under the Desktop folder.
It will take several minutes to download the file.
19. Click “Open Folder”
20. Double click on the “dynadock_2.3” file
21. WinZip Self-Extractor will open, click OK.
22. Click RUN > OK > UNZIP > OK
23. Minimize the Desktop folder. The dynadock™ install menu will appear.
