RemovingtheCuttingUnit
fromtheLiftArms

Procedure

1.Positionthemachineonlevelsurface,lowerthe
cuttingunittotheoor,movetheliftlevertothe
FLOATposition,shuttheengineoff,andengage
theparkingbrake.

2.Removetheboltandwashermountedtothetop
ofeachheight-of-cutrod(Figure1).

theoldoneandsecureitwith2bolts(3/8–16x
1–3/4inches),2locknuts(3/8–16inch),anda
rollpin(3/16x2–1/4inches).

(3/8–16x1–3/4inches),and2locknuts(3/8–16
inch).

15.Torquetheboltsandlocknutsto37to44N⋅m
(27to33ft-lb).

5.Securethedriveshafttothegearboxshaftwith
2bolts(5/16x1–3/4inches),2locknuts(5/16
inch),andarollpin(3/16x1–1/2inches)as
showninFigure4.

6.Torquetheboltsandlocknutsto18to25N⋅m
(175to225in-lb).

7.Removethecabletiethatholdsthedriveshaft
together.

8.Securethesafetychaintotheblowerframe
(Figure4).
