HDX Rear Bumper Kit
NOTE: Read these installation instructions thoroughly before beginning the installation process. Retain these Installation Instructions for future reference.

1. Remove the two rear carriage bolts and hex nuts securing the cargo box assembly to the box frame. Discard the carriage bolts and hex nuts.
NOTE: In order to complete the remaining steps for this kit, it will be necessary to have the help of an assistant.
2. From inside the cargo box insert two new flange button-head screws (A) through two large fender washers (B) and the mounting holes in the cargo box. Install large flat washer (C) and hex nuts (D) to the underside of the cargo box and secure. With the help of an assistant, position rear bumper under the cargo box with the mounting holes aligned with the inserted carriage bolts. Secure the bumper with small flat washers (G) and nyloc hex nuts (H).
5. Install Rivnut (E) into each of the two mounting holes drilled from step 4.
NOTE: It is advisable to use Rivnut Tool (p/n 0644-232) to make the installation of the rear bum­per easier.
6. Position the bumper under the frame; then loosely secure the rear section of the bumper using the car­riage bolts, small flat washers, and nyloc hex nuts.
7. Secure the front section of the bumper using two small flat washers and two machine screws (I). Securely tighten the front machine screws; then securely tighten the rear carriage bolts.
8. Install plastic cap (F) into each end of the bumper. See Fig. 1.

3. Make sure the bumper is flush with the bottom of the cargo box frame; then using the bumper as a template, mark the two front mounting holes in the frame using a center punch. Remove the bumper.
4. Using a 25/64-drill bit, drill out the two holes in the frame.
