Install Cables

1. Remove existing throttle and choke cables from

tractor (Fig. 1).

Note: Save all hardware for use when

installing new cables.

2. Observe location of boots on ends of new

throttle and choke cables. Remove boots.

3. Remove jam nut from new choke cable (Fig. 1).

4. Route throttle lever through rear of dash and

secure with screws previously removed. Press
knob onto throttle lever (Fig. 1).

5. Route choke cable through front of dash and

secure with jam nut previously removed (Fig. 1).

6. Align adapter so tabs are below engine cable

bracket (Fig. 2).

7. Secure adapter to engine cable bracket with new

#10-32 x 1/2” (13 mm) screw (Fig. 2).

12. To adjust cables, move throttle lever to the

“FAST” position and pull the choke to the full
“CHOKE” position.

13. Loosen clamp screw and push the cables up, at

the adapter, until engine controls are against their
stops (Fig. 3).

14. Tighten cable clamp mounting screw securely

(Fig. 3).

8. Route cables the same as previous routed.

9. Install boots onto throttle and choke cables as

previously positioned.

10. Hook cable Z ends into lower holes of engine

controls as shown (Fig. 3).

11. Place cables against adapter and secure with

previously removed cable clamp, washer and
screw (Fig. 3).
