II.Preparation
1.Useappliancesonlywithspecicallydesignatedbatterypacks.
Usingothertypesofbatterypacksmaycreateariskofinjuryand/or
re.
2.Donotuseadamagedormodiedbatterypackorbatterycharger.
Itmayexhibitunpredictablebehavior,resultinginre,explosion,
orriskofinjury.
3.Ifthesupplycordtothebatterychargerisdamaged,contactan
AuthorizedServiceDealertoreplaceit.
III.Operation
1.Donotusenon-rechargeablebatteries.
2.Chargethebatterypackwithonlythebatterychargerspeciedby
Toro.Achargersuitablefor1typeofbatterypackmaycreatearisk
ofrewhenusedwithanotherbatterypack.
3.Chargethebatterypackinawell-ventilatedareaonly.
4.Donotexposeabatterypackorbatterychargertoreorto
temperatureshigherthan100°C(212°F).
5.Followallcharginginstructionsanddonotchargethebatterypack
outsideofthetemperaturerangespeciedintheinstructions.

Otherwise,youmaydamagethebatterypackandincreasetherisk

6.Underabusiveconditions,thebatterypackmayejectliquid;avoid
contact.Ifyouaccidentlycomeintocontactwiththeliquid,ushwith

suchaspaperclips,coins,keys,nails,andscrewsthatcanmakea
connectionfrom1terminaltoanother.Shortingthebatteryterminals
maycauseburnsorare.
3.Donotattempttorepairthebatterypackorbatterycharger.Have
anAuthorizedServiceDealerperformserviceonthebatterypack
orbatterychargerusingidenticalreplacementpartstoensurethat
theproductissafelymaintained.
4.Donotdisposeofthebatteryinare.Thecellmayexplode.Check
withlocalcodesforpossiblespecialdisposalinstructions.

Maintenanceandservicingarenotrequiredundernormalconditions.
Whenyoucleanthesurfaceoftheequipment,wipeitonlywithadrycloth.
Donotdisassembletheequipment;ifitisdamaged,contactyour
AuthorizedServiceDealer.
Storage
Important:Storethechargeronlyintemperaturesthatarewithin
theappropriaterange;refertoSpecications(page6).
Important:Ifyouarestoringthechargerfortheoff-season,ensure
thatitisunpluggedandthattherearenobatteriesinstalled.
•Disconnecttheproductfromthepowersupply(i.e.,removethebattery
pack)andcheckfordamageafteruse.
•Donotstorethechargerwiththebatterypackinstalled.
•Cleanallforeignmaterialfromtheproduct.
•Donotstoreanymachinewiththebatterypackinstalled.
•Whennotinuse,storethetool,batterypack,andbatterychargerout
ofthereachofchildren.
•Keepthetool,batterypack,andbatterychargerawayfromcorrosive
agents,suchasgardenchemicalsandde-icingsalts.
•T oreducetheriskofseriouspersonalinjury,donotstorethebattery
packoutsideorinvehicles.
