I.Training
1.Donotallowchildrenoruntrainedpeopletooperateorservicethis device.Allowonlypeoplewhoareresponsible,trained,familiarwith theinstructions,andphysicallycapabletooperateorservicethe device.
2.Donotallowchildrentouseorplaywiththebatterypackorbattery charger;localregulationsmayrestricttheageoftheoperator.
II.Preparation
1.Useappliancesonlywithspecicallydesignatedbatterypacks. Usingothertypesofbatterypacksmaycreateariskofinjuryand/or re.
2.Donotuseadamagedormodiedbatterypackorbatterycharger. Itmayexhibitunpredictablebehavior,resultinginre,explosion, orriskofinjury.
3.Ifthesupplycordtothebatterychargerisdamaged,contactan AuthorizedServiceDealertoreplaceit.
III.Operation
1.Donotusenon-rechargeablebatteries.
2.Chargethebatterypackwithonlythebatterychargerspeciedby Toro.Achargersuitablefor1typeofbatterypackmaycreatearisk ofrewhenusedwithanotherbatterypack.
3.Chargethebatterypackinawell-ventilatedareaonly.
4.Donotexposeabatterypackorbatterychargertoreorto temperatureshigherthan100°C(212°F).
5.Followallcharginginstructionsanddonotchargethebatterypack outsideofthetemperaturerangespeciedintheinstructions.

Otherwise,youmaydamagethebatterypackandincreasetherisk ofre.
6.Underabusiveconditions,thebatterypackmayejectliquid;avoid contact.Ifyouaccidentlycomeintocontactwiththeliquid,ushwith water.Iftheliquidcontactsyoureyes,seekmedicalhelp.Liquid ejectedfromthebatterypackmaycauseirritationorburns.
IV.MaintenanceandStorage
1.Donotallowchildrentocleanormaintainthebatterycharger.
2.Whenthebatterypackisnotinuse,keepitawayfrommetalobjects suchaspaperclips,coins,keys,nails,andscrewsthatcanmakea connectionfrom1terminaltoanother.Shortingthebatteryterminals maycauseburnsorare.
3.Donotattempttorepairthebatterypackorbatterycharger.Have anAuthorizedServiceDealerperformserviceonthebatterypack orbatterychargerusingidenticalreplacementpartstoensurethat theproductissafelymaintained.
4.Donotdisposeofthebatteryinare.Thecellmayexplode.Check withlocalcodesforpossiblespecialdisposalinstructions.

Maintenance
Maintenanceandservicingarenotrequiredundernormalconditions.
Whenyoucleanthesurfaceoftheequipment,wipeitonlywithadrycloth.
Donotdisassembletheequipment;ifitisdamaged,contactyour AuthorizedServiceDealer.
Storage
Important:Storethechargeronlyintemperaturesthatarewithin
theappropriaterange;refertoSpecications(page6).
Important:Ifyouarestoringthechargerfortheoff-season,ensure
thatitisunpluggedandthattherearenobatteriesinstalled.
Disconnecttheproductfromthepowersupply(i.e.,removethebattery
pack)andcheckfordamageafteruse.
Donotstorethechargerwiththebatterypackinstalled.
Cleanallforeignmaterialfromtheproduct.
Donotstoreanymachinewiththebatterypackinstalled.
Whennotinuse,storethetool,batterypack,andbatterychargerout
ofthereachofchildren.
Keepthetool,batterypack,andbatterychargerawayfromcorrosive
agents,suchasgardenchemicalsandde-icingsalts.
T oreducetheriskofseriouspersonalinjury,donotstorethebattery
packoutsideorinvehicles.
Storethetool,batterypack,andbatterychargerinanenclosedclean,
dryarea.

Troubleshooting
Performonlythestepsdescribedintheseinstructions.Allfurther inspection,maintenance,andrepairworkmustbeperformedbyan authorizedservicecenterorasimilarlyqualiedspecialistifyoucannot solvetheproblemyourself.
Problem
Thebatterychargerisnot working.
TheLEDindicatorlight onthebatterychargeris blinkingred.
PossibleCauseCorrectiveAction
1.Thebatterycharger isoverorunder theappropriate temperaturerange.
2.Theoutletthatthe batterychargeris pluggedintodoesnot havepower.
1.Thereisanerrorin thecommunication betweenthebattery packandthecharger.
2.Thebatterypackis weak.
1.Unplugthebattery chargerandmoveitto aplacewhereitisdry andthetemperature isbetween5°C(41°F) and40°C(104°F).
2.Contactyourlicensed electriciantorepairthe outlet.
1.Removethebattery packfromthebattery charger,unplugthe batterychargerfrom theoutlet,andwait 10seconds.Plugthe batterychargerintothe outletagainandplace thebatterypackonthe batterycharger.Ifthe LEDindicatorlighton thebatterychargeris stillblinkingred,repeat thisprocedureagain. IftheLEDindicator lightonthebattery chargerisstillblinking redafter2attempts, properlydisposeofthe batterypackatabattery recyclingfacility.
