SettingtheEngineSpeed

Note:Useatachometertotesttheenginespeed.

1.Startandrunthemachinefortenminutestowarm
theengine.

2.Setthemachinetothemaximumthrottleposition.

3.Engagethemowerdeckandchecktheenginespeed
withatachometer.

Note:Ifloadedenginespeedisgreaterthan2800
rpm,theunitneedstobeadjusted.Iftheenginespeed
isequaltoorlessthan2800rpm,noactionisnecessary.

4.Disengagethemowerdeck.

5.Iftheenginespeedneedstobechanged,locatethe
throttleplateassembly(Figure1).

10.Repeatsteps2through9untilthemaximumengine
speedwiththemowerdeckengagedis2800rpmorless.
