Warning
Operating the mower without the front baffle in
place can expose you and others to blade contact
and thrown debris. Contact with rotating mower
blade(s) and thrown debris will cause serious
injury.
Never operate the mower without the front baffle
in place.

4. Remove the fasteners securing the mower brackets to
the deck. Remove the brackets.
5. Raise the seat and remove the existing serial tag. Clean
the surface.

1. Remove the ignition key from the switch.
2. Disconnect the wire from the spark plug.
3. Remove the locknut, bolt, and spring holding the
deflector to the mower brackets (Fig. 1). Remove the
grass deflector.

6. Install the new serial tag in the same place. Install the
model year decal next to the serial tag.

7. Lower the seat. Locate the safety decal number
107-2482 directly behind the operator’s legs when
seated in the operating position.
8. Clean the surface of the decal to remove any dirt, debris
or grease.
13. Position the baffle under the deck and against the inside
front wall (Fig. 4).
Note: The baffle should follow the contour of the
housing (Fig. 4). The bottom edge of the baffle should
be 19 mm below the front lip of the deck.
14. Secure the baffle to the deck with 5 carriage bolts and
5 locknuts provided in the kit.

3. Parking brake
9. Install decal number 108-8713 from loose parts over the
existing decal in the same orientation with the parking
brake on the operator’s left. Ensure the new decal
completely covers the existing one completely.
10. Locate the two decals with part numbers 93-7009 and
93-7317 on the mower deck. Clean the surface of the
decals to remove any dirt, debris or grease.
11. Install a decal number 108-8712 from loose parts over
each decal in the same orientation as the existing decal.
Ensure the new decal completely covers the existing
one completely.
12. Raise the mower deck (Fig. 4) to its highest cutting
position.

Note: Position the locknuts on the outside of the deck.
15. Remove the old belt guards and discard them.
16. Install the new belt guards.
17. Remove the stationary screen.

Note: Save the fasteners you removed for step 19.
18. Remove and discard the flywheel screen screws and
replace them with pan head screws provided in the kit.

19. Install the stationary screen using the screws you
removed in step 17.
20. Connect the wire to the spark plug.
21. Insert the ignition key in the switch.
22. Locate and the remove the existing Operator’s Manual
and Set-Up Instructions. Replace the existing
documentation with the Operator’s Manual and Set–Up
Instructions located the in the loose parts of this kit.

1. Retirez la clé du commutateur d’allumage.
2. Débranchez la bougie.
3. Enlevez le contre-écrou, le boulon et le ressort qui
fixent le déflecteur aux supports du plateau de coupe
(Fig. 6). Déposez le déflecteur d’herbe

4. Retirez les fixations qui maintiennent les supports sur le
plateau de coupe. Déposez les supports.
5. Soulevez le siège et retirez la plaque de numéro de
série. Nettoyez la surface.
