whichwillresultinalongerbeltlife,checkthe
mowerbelttensionaftertherst8hoursofuseand
8hoursaftereachbeltchange.
ReplacingtheMowerBeltfor
72inMowerDecks
Squealingwhenthebeltisrotating,bladesslippingwhen
cuttinggrass,frayedbeltedges,burnmarksandcracks
aresignsofawornmowerbelt.Replacethemowerbelt
ifanyoftheseconditionsareevident.
1.DisengagethePTO,movethemotioncontrollevers
totheneutrallockedpositionandsettheparking
brake.
2.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
5.Removetheidlerspring.
6.Removethebeltguideonthespringloadedidler
pulleyshowninFigure2andFigure4.
7.Removetheexistingbelt.
8.Installthenewbeltaroundthemowerpulleysand
thegearboxpulleyundertheengine(Figure2).
3.Removethebeltcovers(Figure1).
