•Operatethemachineonlyindaylightoringood
articiallight.
•Rememberthatthereisnosuchthingasasafe
slope.Travelongrassslopesrequiresparticular
care.T oguardagainstoverturning:
–Donotstoporstartsuddenlywhengoingup
ordownhill.
–Themachinespeedshouldbekeptlowon
slopesandduringtightturns.
–Stayalertforhumpsandhollowsandother
hiddenhazards.
–Neveroperatethemachineacrossthefaceof

–Stoponlevelground.
–Disengagethepowertake-offandthe
attachments.
–Changeintoneutralandengagetheparking
brake.
–Shutofftheengineandremovethekey.
•Disengagedrivetoattachments,shutoffthe
engine,andremovetheignitionkey:
–beforeclearingblockages;
–beforechecking,cleaning,orworkingonthe
machine;
–ifthemachinestartstovibrateabnormally
(checkimmediately).
•Disengagedrivetoattachmentswhentransporting
ornotinuse.
•Shutofftheengineanddisengagedriveto
attachment:
–beforerefuelling;
–beforemakinganadjustmentunless
adjustmentcanbemadefromtheoperator's
position.
•Reducethethrottlesettingbeforeshuttingoffthe
engineandclosethefuelshut-offvalveatthe
conclusionofoperation.
•Keephandsandfeetoutofthehopperwhenthe
machineisoperatingorwhenthehydraulicpower
packengineonthetowvehicle,isrunning.
•Keephandsfromthehopperandspinnerassembly
whenthemachineisoperatingorwhenthe
hydraulicpowerpackengine,onthetowvehicle,
isrunning.
•Lookbehindanddownbeforebackinguptobe
sureofaclearpath.
•Slowdownandusecautionwhenmakingturns
andcrossingroadsandsidewalks.
•Donotoperatethemachinewhiletired,ill,or
undertheinuenceofalcoholordrugs.
•Lightningcancausesevereinjuryordeath.If
lightningisseenorthunderisheardinthearea,do
notoperatethemachine;seekshelter.
•Theoperatorshallturnonashingwarninglights,
ifprovided,whenevertravelingonapublicroad,
exceptwheresuchuseisprohibitedbylaw.
MaintenanceandStorage
•Tightenanyloosenuts,bolts,andscrewsto
ensurethatthemachineisinsafeoperating
condition.EnsurethattheT opDressermounting
pins,pivotpins,andhydrauliccylinderpinsarein
placeandsecure.
•Replacewornordamagedpartsforsafety.
•Disengagedrives,shiftthetransmissiontoneutral,
engagetheparkingbrake,shutofftheengineand
removethekey.Waitforallmovementtostop
beforeadjusting,cleaning,orrepairing.
•Parkthemachineonlevelground.Neverallow
untrainedpersonneltoservicemachine.
•Usejackstandstosupportcomponentswhen
required.
•Carefullyreleasepressurefromcomponentswith
storedenergy.
•Keephandsandfeetawayfrommovingparts.If
possible,donotmakeadjustmentswiththeengine
running.
•Ensurethatallhydrauliclineconnectorsaretight
andallhydraulichosesandlinesareingood
conditionbeforeapplyingpressuretothesystem.
•Keepyourbodyandhandsawayfrompin-hole
leaksornozzlesthatejecthydraulicuidunder
highpressure.Usepaperorcardboard,not
yourhands,tosearchforleaks.Hydraulicuid
escapingunderpressurecanhavesufcientforce
topenetratetheskinandcauseseriousinjury.If
uidisinjectedintotheskinitmustbesurgically
removedwithinafewhoursbyadoctorfamiliar
withthisformofinjuryorgangrenemayresult.
