keepingnuts,boltsandscrewstight.

(mph).TheTopDresser2500compensatesfor
variationsintravelspeed,andwillgiveconsistent
distribution,eveniftravelspeedchangesduringa
passacrossthegreen.Theoperator/superintendent
shouldmakeagatesettingselection(variablein
1/8incrementsto13)andmakearstpassto
determineifapplicationrateisacceptable.(seeSand

– Stopthetowvehicleandsettheparkingbrake.
– Shutoffthetowvehicle’ sengineandremove
keyfromignition.
• Keepallnuts,boltsandotherfastenerstightened
securely.Replaceanypartsremovedduring
servicingoradjustments.
• Whenloadingthetopdressermixintothehopper,
becarefulthattheloaderorskidsteerbucketdoes
notstrikeandbucklethehoppersides.Although
designedtobewideenoughtoclearmostbuckets,
itisnotstrongenoughtotakeadirecthitandmay
deformthesheetmetal.
• Dispersionisalwaysbestwithdrymaterial,butwet
sandcanbespreadwiththespecialtractiongrip
beltontheT opDresser2500.Someadjustmentto
thegatesettingmayberequired,butthematerial
shouldowoutandspreadrelativelysmoothand
consistent.Ifanyslippageofthebeltappearsto
beoccurring,checktheMaintenancesection;Belt
adjustmentandclean-outprovisions.
• Top-dressmixcanvaryingrainsizeaswellas
moisture.Itcanalsocontainimpuritiesthatmay
eitherdamagegreensmowersorplanttissue.Always
controlthesourceoftop-dressmaterial,anduse
carewhenhandlingandloading.
• Asightwindowisprovidedontherightfront
hopperpaneltomonitorremainingmaterialwhile
topdressing.Itisgoodpracticetoglanceoveryour
rightshoulderandcheckthehoppervolumebefore
beginningapplicationtoassurethatyoudon’trun
outinthemiddleofapass.
• ThespecialoscillatingdriveaxlesontheTop
Dresser2500weredesignedtocontinuepowering
thehydraulicswhiletraversingoverundulations
andirregularitiesinthesurfaceofthegreenor
tee.Alwaysapproachseverebermsslowlytoavoid
suddenimpactoftheaxleswiththeturf,andto
reducethepotentialofleavingtiremarksonthe
approachtothegreen.

solenoidthatcausesthewheelpumptorunoverrelief,
whichslows/retardsthetopdresser.Sinceenergy
(hydraulicheat)isrelatedtotravelspeed,usingthe
brakescontinuouslyonlongdownhillroadscould
signicantlyheatthehydraulicoil.Alwaysusealower
speedgearselectionwhendescendinglonghills.Activate
thebrakesintermittentlytoallowforcoolingcyclesfor
boththevehicleandthetopdresser.
SpecialCheckV alvesandCircuitFeatures -The
TopDresser2500hydraulicmono-blockvalvecontains
severalspecialperformanceenhancementfeatures.In
ordertobacktheunitintoparkingspaces,orwhile
backingontodifcultaccessapproachestogreensfor
example,thehydrauliccircuitneedsareversingcheck
valvetopreventback-ushingthelterorharming
thechargepumpcircuit.Theunitwillnotoperateany
functionswhenbackingup,astheoilisjustre-circulating
inthewheelpumpcircuit.
BleedingandPrimingofHydraulicSystem Bleed/drainlinesareprovidedforthedrivepumpsand
beltmotor.Thishelpspurgethesystemofair,hotoil
andtocirculatecleanoilintothehydraulicdriveloops.
Anauto-lllinerunsfromthereservoirtoaspecialport

adjustment.Thebrushmustbethesameheightfrom
sidetoside.Thebrushadjustmentshouldbechecked
weeklyforwear.Thebristlesofthebrushwillwear
undernormalconditionsandthedistancefromthe
brushtoconveyorbeltshouldbemaintainedtoprevent
unevenwearofthebrush.

•Normalnoise,vibration,wearandtear ,anddeterioration.
•Normal“wearandtear”includes,butisnotlimitedto,damageto
seatsduetowearorabrasion,wornpaintedsurfaces,scratched
decalsorwindows,etc.

Partsscheduledforreplacementasrequiredmaintenancearewarranted
fortheperiodoftimeuptothescheduledreplacementtimeforthatpart.
Partsreplacedunderthiswarrantyarecoveredforthedurationofthe
originalproductwarrantyandbecomethepropertyofToro.Torowill
makethenaldecisionwhethertorepairanyexistingpartorassemblyor
replaceit.T oromayuseremanufacturedpartsforwarrantyrepairs.
NoteRegardingDeepCycleBatteryWarranty:
Deepcyclebatterieshaveaspeciedtotalnumberofkilowatt-hoursthey
candeliverduringtheirlifetime.Operating,recharging,andmaintenance
techniquescanextendorreducetotalbatterylife.Asthebatteriesinthis
productareconsumed,theamountofusefulworkbetweencharging
intervalswillslowlydecreaseuntilthebatteryiscompletelywornout.
Replacementofwornoutbatteries,duetonormalconsumption,isthe
responsibilityoftheproductowner.Batteryreplacementmayberequired

RepairbyanAuthorizedT oroDistributororDealerisyoursoleremedy
underthiswarranty .
NeitherTheToroCompanynorToroWarrantyCompanyisliablefor
indirect,incidentalorconsequentialdamagesinconnectionwiththe
useoftheT oroProductscoveredbythiswarranty,includingany
costorexpenseofprovidingsubstituteequipmentorserviceduring
reasonableperiodsofmalfunctionornon-usependingcompletion
ofrepairsunderthiswarranty .ExceptfortheEmissionswarranty
referencedbelow,ifapplicable,thereisnootherexpresswarranty .
Allimpliedwarrantiesofmerchantabilityandtnessforusearelimitedto
thedurationofthisexpresswarranty .Somestatesdonotallowexclusions
ofincidentalorconsequentialdamages,orlimitationsonhowlongan
