Safety

•Ensurethatthesulkyisproperlyattachedtothe

machineandisingoodworkingorderpriortouse.

•Donottrytostabilizethemachinebyputting

yourfootontheground.Ifyoulosecontrolofthe
machine,stepoffthesulkyplatformandaway
fromthemachine.

•Donotplaceyourfeetunderthesulky.

•Whileusingthesulky,donotmovethemachine

unlessyouarestandingwithbothfeetonthe
platformandyourhandsareholdingontothe
referencebars.

•Donotoperatethemachineinreversewhile

standingontheplatform.Stepofftheplatformand
allowthesulkytorotate180degreesaroundwhile
movingthemachineinreverse.

•Lookbehindanddownbeforebackingupto

ensurethatthepathisclear.

•Allowonlythemachineoperatorontheplatform.

•Ensurethatyouoperatethesulkyinareaswhere

therearenoobstaclesnearby .Failuretomaintain
adequatedistancefromtrees,walls,andother
barriersmayresultininjuryasthesulkybacks
uporturnsduringoperationiftheoperatorisnot
attentivetothesurroundings.Operatethesulky
onlyinareaswherethereissufcientclearance
foryoutosafelymaneuverthesulky.

•Beforeperforminganyservice,repairs,

maintenance,oradjustments,dothefollowing:

–Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.

–Disengagethepowertakeoff.

–Engagetheparkingbrake.

–Shutofftheengineandremovethekey.

•Keepnutsandboltstight.Keepequipmentclean

andingoodcondition.

•Useonlygenuinereplacementparts.

•Donotmodifythesulkyoruseitonnon-approved

machines.

•Donotallowuntrainedoperatorstousethesulky.

•Dismountandlatchthesulkyinthetransport

positionwhenloadingandunloadingthemachine
andoperatingonhillsides.

•Slowdownbeforeturning.Sharpturnsonany

terrainmaycauselossofcontrol.

•Donotusethesulkyonroughanduneventerrain.
