wearloosettingclothingwhichcouldgetcaught
inmovingparts.Alwayswearlongpantsand

ordinancesandinsuranceregulations.
WhileOperating
• Donotruntheengineinaconnedareawithout
adequateventilation.Exhaustfumesarehazardous

• Beforeservicingormakingadjustmentstothe
TopDresser,stopengineofWorkman,setparking
brakeandremovekeyfromenginetoprevent
accidentalstartingoftheengine.
• Performonlythosemaintenanceinstructions
describedinthismanual.Ifmajorrepairsare
everneededorassistanceisdesired,contactan
AuthorizedTORODistributor.
• Toreducepotentialrehazard,keeptheenginefree
ofexcessivegrease,grass,leavesandaccumulations
ofdirt.
• Besuremachineisinsafeoperatingconditionby
keepingnuts,boltsandscrewstight.
• Makesureallhydrauliclineconnectorsaretight,and
allhydraulichosesandlinesareingoodcondition
beforeapplyingpressuretothesystem.
• Keepbodyandhandsawayfrompinholeleaks
inhydrauliclinesthatejecthighpressurehydraulic
uid.Usecardboardorpapertondhydraulic
leaks.Hydraulicuidescapingunderpressurecan
penetrateskinandcauseinjury.Fluidaccidentally
injectedintotheskinmustbesurgicallyremoved
withinafewhoursbyadoctorfamiliarwiththis
formofinjuryorgangrenemayresult.
• Beforedisconnectingorperforminganyworkon
thehydraulicsystem,allpressureinsystemmustbe
relievedbystoppingengineandplacingtheremote
hydraulicvalveintheoatdetentposition.
• Iftheenginemustberunningtoperforma
maintenanceadjustment,keephands,feet,clothing
andotherpartsofthebodyawayfromtheengine
andothermovingparts.
• Toensureoptimumperformanceandsafety,always

TheTopDresser1800isequippedwithaexiblegate
edge(Figure20)andspringreleasemechanismto
reducethechanceofsandchunksorrocksgetting
lodgedduringoperation.Toinsurelongbeltlife,siftor
checksandforrockswithsharpedgesthatmaydamage
conveyorbelt.

Partsscheduledforreplacementasrequiredmaintenancearewarranted
fortheperiodoftimeuptothescheduledreplacementtimeforthatpart.
Partsreplacedunderthiswarrantyarecoveredforthedurationofthe
originalproductwarrantyandbecomethepropertyofToro.T orowill
makethenaldecisionwhethertorepairanyexistingpartorassemblyor
replaceit.T oromayuseremanufacturedpartsforwarrantyrepairs.
NoteRegardingDeepCycleBatteryWarranty:
Deepcyclebatterieshaveaspeciedtotalnumberofkilowatt-hoursthey
candeliverduringtheirlifetime.Operating,recharging,andmaintenance
techniquescanextendorreducetotalbatterylife.Asthebatteriesinthis
productareconsumed,theamountofusefulworkbetweencharging
intervalswillslowlydecreaseuntilthebatteryiscompletelywornout.
Replacementofwornoutbatteries,duetonormalconsumption,isthe
responsibilityoftheproductowner.Batteryreplacementmayberequired

NeitherTheToroCompanynorToroWarrantyCompanyisliablefor
indirect,incidentalorconsequentialdamagesinconnectionwiththe
useoftheT oroProductscoveredbythiswarranty,includingany
costorexpenseofprovidingsubstituteequipmentorserviceduring
reasonableperiodsofmalfunctionornon-usependingcompletion
ofrepairsunderthiswarranty .ExceptfortheEmissionswarranty
referencedbelow,ifapplicable,thereisnootherexpresswarranty.
Allimpliedwarrantiesofmerchantabilityandtnessforusearelimitedto
thedurationofthisexpresswarranty.Somestatesdonotallowexclusions
