1.Positiontheupperhandleoverthelowerhandle.

Note:Donotremovetherubberbanduntilyou
haveinstalledthehandle.

Important:Routethe2cablesattachedto
theQuickStickinsidetheupperhandlelegs
(Figure1).Donotpinchthecables.

4.Securetherodendwiththewasherandhairpin
cotter.

5.Removethehairpincotterandtheouterwasher
fromthetrunnionontheupperendofthespeed
controlrod(Figure3).

Note:Thedischargechuteanddeectorshould

dischargechuteuntiltheydo.

12.Aligntheattenedendofthelongrodwiththe
attenedendoftheshortrodthatextendsfromthe
controlpanelsotheynesttogether(Figure6).

13.Insertthelongrodendintothebackofthechute
gearcoveruntilitslidesintothegear(Figure7).

14.Aligntheholesinthenestedendsoftherodsand
insert2boltsthroughtheshortrodfromtheleft
side(fromtheoperatingposition).

15.Insertthecableclipthatsupportsthedeectorcable
ontheforwardbolt,andsecuretheboltswiththe
locknutsprovided(Figure8).

16.HoldthebluecapdownandrotatetheQuickStick
inacircletoensurethatthechuteanddeector
worksmoothly.

17.Tooperatethesnowthrowerusingtheself-propel
feature,slidethewheelsoutwardandinserttheaxle
pinsthroughtheholesinthewheelhubsandthe
inneraxleholes(Figure9).
