PreparingtheMachine forFirstUse

InstallingtheHandle

1.Positiontheendsoftheupperhandleontheinsideof thelowerhandleandaligntheholes.
2.Inserttheoval-headboltsintothealignedholes,with theboltheadsontheoutsideofthehandle(Figure4).
4.Fuelspillhazard—donottipmachineforwardorbackward.
5.Toengagetheauger,squeezethecontrolbar.
6.Releasethecontrolbartodisengagetheauger.

3.Installthecurvedwashersandthehandleknobsonthe oval-headboltsontheinsideofthehandle(Figure4) andtightentheknobssecurely.
Important:Ensurethatthecableisroutedtothe outsideofthehandle.

FillingtheEnginewithOil

Yourmachinedoesnotcomewithoilintheengine,butit doescomewithabottleofoil.
Important:Beforestartingtheengine,lltheengine withoil.
Maxll:0.35l(12oz),type:automotivedetergentoilwithan APIserviceclassicationofSJ,SL,orhigher.
UseFigure6toselectthebestoilviscosityfortheoutdoor temperaturerangeexpected:

1.Movethemachinetoalevelsurface.
2.Cleanaroundtheoil-llcap(Figure7).
3.Unscrewtheoil-llcapandremoveit.
4.Slowlypouroilintotheoil-llhole.Wait3minutes, thenchecktheoillevelonthedipstickbywipingthe dipstickcleanandtheninserting,butnotscrewingin, theoil-llcapintothehole.
Note:T odeterminetheproperoillevelonthe dipstick,refertoFigure7.
1.Theoillevelisatits maximum.

3.Theoillevelistoo low—addoiltothe crankcase.

Important:Donottipthemachinealltheway forwardontoitsnose,orfuelmayleakoutofthe machine.
5.Screwtheoilllcapintotheoilllholeandhand tightenitsecurely.

Yearly—Checkthecontrolcableandadjustitif necessary.
Important:Y oumustcheckandmayneedtoadjust thecontrolcablebeforeyouoperatethemachineforthe rsttime.
Movethecontrolbarbacktowardthehandletoremovethe slackinthecontrolcable(Figure8).
