backhoetotheground.
2.Shutofftheengine,andremovethekeyfromthekey
switch.
3.RotatethebatterydisconnectswitchtotheOff
position;refertotheOperator’ sManualforthemachine.
4.Removethe4hex-headbolts(3/8x1inch)and4
washers(3/8inch)thatsecuretheconsolepaneltothe
operatorconsoleforthebackhoe(Figure1).

1.Applymediumgrade(serviceremovable)thread
lockingcompoundtothethreadsofthe4hex-head
bolts(3/8x1inch)thatyouremoveinstep4of
RemovingtheConsolePanel.
2.Alignthemountingholesintheconsolepanelwiththe
mountingholesintheoperatorsconsole(Figure1).
3.Securethepaneltotheconsolewiththe4hex-head
boltsand4washers,andtorquethebolts51to65N-m
(38to48lb-ft).
4.RotatethebatterydisconnectswitchtotheOn
position;refertotheOperator’ sManualforthemachine.

Theauxiliarycontrolkitisusedwiththebackhoetocontrol
theforwardandbackwardmovementofthemachine,the
enginespeed,andtheelevationofthebackllblade—from
theoperatorspositiononthebackhoe.
StartingandControllingthe
Engine
1.Fromtheoperatingposition,ensurethatallofthe
controlsareintheNeutralposition,andthekeyswitch
intheOnposition;refertotheOperator’sManualfor
themachine.
Note:Iftheengineiscold,thewait-to-start-engine
indicatorwilldisplayinthecommandcenter.Wait
fortheengineheatertowarmtheengineinletbefore
movingtothebackhoe.
2.Sitintheoperatorseatforthebackhoe.
3.Pressthestartbutton(Figure5).
Note:Ensurethatallofthebackhoecontrolsare
intheNeutralpositionbeforestartingtheengine,or
suddenmotionoftheattachmentmayoccur.
