InstallingtheCrumber
1.Slidethecrumbermountingbracketovertheendof
thesafetybaronthetrencher,aligningtheholesinthe
bracketwiththeholesinthebar(Figure1).
TransportingtheCrumber
Beforetransportingthetrencherwiththecrumberattached,
completethefollowingprocedure:
1.Removethecotterpinandcotterpinstoredinthe
crumberbar.
2.Slidethecrumberbackasfaraspossible(Figure2).

AdjustingtheCrumber
Adjustthecrumbersothatthecrumberbladeiswithin3.8
to6.35cm(11/2to21/2in)fromthetrencherteeth.To
adjustthecrumber,loosenortightentheadjustmentnutas
needed(Figure1).

3.Installtheclevispinthroughthecrumberslideandbar,
securingitwiththecotterpin(Figure2).
ChangingtheScraper
Thescraper(Figure2)installedonthecrumbermust
correspondtothewidthofthetrencherchain.Toreplacethe
scraperthatisonthecrumber,removethetwoboltsandnuts
securingthescraper,theninstallthenewscraperinitsplace.
Note:Thescrapersareslightlynarrowerthanthechains
withwhichtheyshouldbepaired.Forexample,the6inch
scraperisactually5-1/2incheswidebutisintendedtobe
usedwiththe6inchtrencherchain.
