Installthiskitonthecarburetoroftheenginetohelpincrease
engineperformanceanddecreaseexhaustemissionsathigh
altitudes.Installthiskitifyouexpecttheenginetorun
continuouslyabove1500m(5,000ft)inaltitude.Ifyou
operatetheengineathighaltitudewithoutthiskitinstalled,
theenginecouldexperiencepoorperformance,sparkfouling,
hardstarting,andincreasedemissions.Onceyouhave
installedthekit,attachthehigh-altitudelabelnexttotheserial
decalonthemachine.
Important:Donotoperateanenginethathasbeen
convertedforhigh-altitudeuseatloweraltitudes;
otherwise,youcouldoverheatanddamagetheengine.
Removethekitfromtheengineandrestoretheengine
toitsoriginalfactorycongurationwhenyourunitat
loweraltitudes.
InstallingtheKit
1.Removeanycoveringnecessarytoaccessthe
carburetor.
2.Removethecarburetor.
Note:Markthebowlorientationtothecarburetor
bodyandthentightentotheoriginalpoint.
3.Unscrewtheboltonthecarburetor-oatbowlfrom
thecarburetor.
4.Unscrewthestandardjetfromthecarburetor.
Note:Thejetonthecarburetorisconguredin1of2
ways;refertoFigure1andFigure2.
