Install Blowout Baf
1. Disengage the power take off (PTO), set the
parking brake, and turn the ignition key to
“OFF” to stop the engine. Remove the key.
2. Remove belt covers from mower deck.

• Blade is sharp.

• Contact with sharp blade can cause serious
personal injury.
HOW TO AV
OID THE HAZARD
• Wear gloves or wrap sharp edges of the
blade with a rag.
3. Remove mower unit (see Operator’s Manual for
instructions).
4. Tip mower deck upside down and block up ends
to ease installation of baffle components.
5. Thoroughly clean mower deck. All debris must
be removed to ensure baffle will fit properly
against mower deck.
6. Repair all bent or damaged areas of mower deck
and replace any missing parts.

Installing
Blowout Baffles
Note: All holes for installing Blowout baffles
need to be drilled (Fig. 1).
1. Place baffles as shown in figure 1.
Note: The baffle edges need to be centered
between front roller brackets. The
baffle corners must be flush to edge of
deck (Fig. 1).
2. Position lefthand baffle with the outer corner
flush to edge of deck and centered in the middle
(Fig. 1).
3. Position righthand baffle with the straight edge
parallel to edge of deck and centered in the
middle (Fig. 1).
4. Using the baffles as a template mark locations of
holes. Drill (9) 7/32” holes at the marked
locations in the mower.

5. Install tapping screws and tighten securely
(Fig. 1).
6. Rotate blades to ensure the blades do not hit the
blowout baffles.
7. If the blades touch the blowout baffles repeat the
steps in this section.
8. Turn deck over, reinstall deck and deck covers.

break apart and pieces could be thrown at
bystanders or at you as you use the mower.

• Pieces of blade that may be thrown could
seriously injure or kill you or bystanders.
